With regards to the larger value players I fear that we are currently in political terms a Stalking Horse or in athletics the Pace Setter. Being used to get the price jacked up in readiness for a bigger club to buy. Indeed a shame but I can only see this changing for the better if we finish in say top 8 this season. Most top players want to play Champions League or at worst Europa League. Reality of the matter I would say.

I feel all clubs are struggling with getting in "top quality" strikers ... Sako deal falls through, saido, west brom want lots of money, same as Benteke and Lukaku, clubs are not willing to sell even if there player will sit on the bench, look at arsenal, Everton, West Ham, west brom, they all want and need strikers and are having the same issues as us ... That said I have a good feeling something will give soon and we will have a decent striker or two .. Probably not benteke now but possibly sako and or saido
