That is the difference between left and right. I as right wing, can look at left policies and agree with what I think is a good and beneficial one. You on the other hand are a lefty. Say no more I guess….!!

Perhaps no more- except I stated I couldn"t care if an old style CONservative gov came in to replace bungle and his cronies, but forget that if it suits your agenda!

Albeit that the changes in Ts and Cs are the way to free up money for the pay rises. This is going to backfire on the unions as by the time the strikes are over and seen to be a waste of time the offer will have dropped with inflation and Ts and Cs will be changed anyway. Remember the miners strikes? Not many pits survived did they? Even with that dope stirring it up daily. Money is actually god tbh!

Money appears to be your God perhaps- remember your heroes words- there"s no such thing as society! The unions have to get top dollar for their members while they are in jobs- bad paying jobs aren"t worth doing- so you are better putting your feet up until they offer you a reasonable wage- if society falls, the cream at the top has to be skimmed, simples!

Not maggie, just a normal non thieving-remember the PPE NHS £47 billion ,bungles dog food r us turned into dog food and PPE are us? The pub landlord that went from beer and food to beer, food and PPE? Millions channeled through these companies, yet normal PPE sellers not allowed to bid? So, just a normal CONwould suffice, but not out of this lot, they are all tarnished with supporting bungle and his cronies, but CON/lab, in the old days, no different!I"m posting a bit less here now as it"s going round in circles, but will post when I see hypocricy or a new scandal

God forbid we send a man home who has travelled in to work as cover and is not needed!
If that"s the case its all in the terms and conditions i"m sure spider- thats the deal, so no biggy! A bit like perks of a night shift- I saw nurses take a 2 hour kip in private room, then swop a few years back- all part of the job, or carers having sleep over duty, all part of the job sleeping! Just because tube and train drivers have got a good union- with good negotiated terms- shouldn"t get workers jealous- they have to get themselves good terms-with a good union!

Being sent home when needed, the hours come out of their working week, not bad if you can get it. Yes they have got a good Union, good luck to them but don’t try and make out they are hard done by. You say they deserve it as public safety is in their hands, how much do fireman, police, paramedics get in comparison?
Couple of years ago my son worked at Thorpe Park and was responsible for the safety of guests on some of the “bigger” rides. No unions, was only job he could get at the time, Was paid minimum wage, no overtime no perks, no paid holidayPerhaps tube drivers with their 43 day holiday a year aren’t so badly off

In my opinion- the last sentance should be trhe reason you are fully behind the strikers spider- wanting your son and the like to be pulled up to better conditions and better wages, not wanting the train drivers to come down to a lesser level, and as for police, fire, nurses etc, they should all be on 40k minimum- i know lots of police are but not so sure about nurses and firemen!

I have never said they should come down to a lesser level. You have been saying they deserve more, I have suggested that perhaps the wages they are paid are very good. IMO they are not bad,y off, can quite comfortably live on their wages, have good t&c’s. At this present time I cannot support them inconveniencing Joe public who are trying to go about their everyday lives.
Unfortunately there are many jobs where the workers have no union representation so, if they want to work they have to take what is thrown at them. That, by the way, is not down to the CONS, it is exploitation but people are prepared to put up with it, to keep a job.

So the CONS didn"t try and break union power by limiting the number of pickewts to 6? And if the train drivers havent had a pay rise in 2 years, with inflation at 10 percent- they need a 10 per cent pay rise to stand still, and why do the bankers suddenly need more than the 200 per cent bonus they recieve at the moment? That is down to the CONS!
