I wasn"t bothered about the hf either way when they started, or when i first noticed them, thought the all black thing was a bit crap, bit like the man united men in black thing!, but i was swayed by their performance at stamford bridge season before last, and the home support complaining that the atmosphere put there players off! This plus the best fa cup final display has turned my opinion on them, and maybe another fine performance at the bridge next time out, a flash hf reunited to show us what they can achieve, would be absolutely fantastic!

Interestingly, I think they did a display which said "no matter what". It turned out the small print was "unless we don't get our own way" . For me, I will enjoy having the atmosphere back, but their reputation as supporters of the club first and foremost is shattered, and they will now effectively be hired cheerleaders. Very good post. People have been badmouthing the HF for years and I’ve never done anything but support them and their efforts. This whole saga has put them down in my estimations tenfold. And they certainly haven’t acted in a “fanatical” way. Imagine everyone else going on strike everytime they don’t like a clubs defision. The atmosphere would be effected a whole lot more negatively than what we’ve seen at the start of this season.

I’m starting a boycott if any fellow die hard fans wanna join in. Not coming to any games or singing loudly until Max Meyer is relocated from the bench onto the pitch. Will have brochures and statements ready shortly. Twitter storm to follow.

OK Well you cant really write but from guessing what you are trying to ask I would say only that I have known a fan that bought a paper ticket each week on the door because he worked Saturday mornings and was never 100% certain he would make the game. This was every week so he didn't see the sense in buying a season ticket if there was a chance it would rarely get used.

A mate of mine who supports Arsenal sarcastically claimed he and a few Emirates drinking pals were going to boycott home games until they were relocated down behind the goal because he and his mates claime to sing far more than those currently occupying that area. Not that I'd want to defend the HF but I had no answer to this.

Originally the HF were great fun,a friendly bunch who produced lots of noise with their unique songs which other clubs have copied. Edited by bicycle repair man (30 Sep 2018 12.38am) You are obviously incapable of seeing the bigger picture.

As for your ridiculous assertion that without the HF we would have been relegated it's actually just an assumption as you cannot back it up with facts. I prefer to think the reasons we haven't been relegated are down to Tony Pullis, Alan Pardew in his early tenure, Sam Allardyce and then Roy Hodgson who all got the team playing well enough to stay up. It's not that long ago that we only stayed up only because we were (almost) only winning when on the road. There were long, long spells when we hardly ever won at home. So the HF's impact at home was clearly not enough to win us games. Maybe on the road they were a factor, but that's a different matter from the argument here. They used to create a fantastic atmosphere which I miss greatly.
