The problem for any new party is the first past the post system.

I hope you are right for it is desperately needed. The centre represents by far the greatest majority view in our country. Most of us are neither far right, or far left. Labour have just committed suicide. It is now a club run by it's far left membership and not a political party, whose MPs represent their constituents. It has to split, for everyone's benefit. They are now the left wing equivalent of the BNP on the right. Noisy but unelectable. The Tories are little better. The divisions are there too, although a semblance of unity is being maintained at the moment. That unity will be severely tested in the coming months. I hope their left wing splits away too and a genuine party of the centre emerges.

It is a very sad state of affairs when I think that Theresa May in the UK and Hillary Clinton in the US, are the best realistic options at the moment. I hope they will both exceed my expectations!
