Come on, Stirlingsays. She does a HELL of a lot of harm, as a high profile public figure, by suggesting being gay is a disease which needs a cure. That is truly vile. Suggesting Women were happier as housewives in the 50s, thats a tad controversial there, did you clear that with your missus first? We could probably ask Gollum as I guess she was alive in the 50s. As for exaggerating like Trump, if I had done that I would say Widdecombe had just murdered 22 gay men in a house in Watford. Why does everyone assume that statements with which they disagree are so colossally influential?

She's a catholic, the bible calls homosexuality an abomination. She is under no requirement to view it positively. She mentioned nothing about diseases and cures.....this is you being extremely hyperbolic. What she said about science and homosexuality is an inevitability and it's coming just as with quite a few other genetic options. I think the 'cure' thing has always been a ridiculous concept. However, if someone wants to fool themselves or if they are uncertain about their sexuality and want to listen to religious stuff that's for them. It wouldn't be what I would say to them. Give her time Mainey....give her time......She hasn't even got to Brussels yet let alone Watford. Edited by Stirlingsays (04 Jun 2019 3.28pm)

Well I suppose you would think so as you believe that the referendum was invalid but a second one would be a good idea. With that sort of double think logic it's hard to take anything you say seriously. Edited by Hrolf The Ganger (04 Jun 2019 3.37pm)

The first referendum was a clear vote in favour of leaving the EU. However, this binary choice is undeliverable, as there are several different ways to leave the EU and they result in very different outcomes and futures for the country. There must now be a second vote, to move the issue forward to a resolution.

The binary choice was the only possible choice for a fair referendum. Wake up. As I have said fifty times, the 2016 vote should have looked like the 2019 one will hopefully look: Question 1 Simple really isn't it. If the 2016 vote setters - the electoral commission, had been in possession of a magic 8 ball, perhaps this would have been considered. For the 800th time you cannot bleat on about the will of the people and democracy in 2016 and not acknowledge it in 2019. The simple fact is that now the results of Brexit are far, far clearer and easy to understand, people deserve a choice on having a no deal crash out of the EU, or not. As for the Farage narrative that the deal team were a bunch of idiots and lightweights and made tons of mistakes - that may be true, but let me ask, how the heck do you know what went on in those hundreds of hours of talks exactly?
