This is a very simplistic way to examine the cost/benefits of EU membership.

You cannot really boil it down to simple in and out financials of this nature.

We also enjoy many tariff and trade benefits as a member of the customs union and single market. There are benefits that are hard to quantify financially until we dont have them anymore.

As we are yet to actually leave the EU, the true financial situation will not be known until the point at which that happens, and the ensuing years.

The thing is the £350/£260m figure can & has been quantified, ask yourself this would having £350m or £260m written on the side of a bus (a bus that no one actually cares about) make any difference to how people voted?

Out here in SK pretty much everyone I speak to (demograph roughly 25yrs to about 40yrs) want Britain to just leave the EU. The EU isn't hugely popular amongst the working class here whilst the middle class think its the greatest thing ever.
There's a fair bit of corruption that goes on with eu money being pocketed on projects & people tend to blame both sides, think this is where the general negative sentiment comes from.

The older generation here want a return to communism & see the EU as a s*** version of that.

I got my residency a few months back & it was all pretty straight forward.
Spent half a day at an immigration centre which resembled a prison.
The whole thing was conducted in Slovak with not a word spoken in English so I was lucky to have my gf there to speak on my behalf at times.
I had to produce a letter stating I would not claim any benefits, had to show I had 200eur in my wallet to feed myself & demonstrate I had a place to live, then it was a case of having your photos/fingerprints taken & my ID was in the post.
We asked what happens once Britain leaves the EU & there's a bit of additional paperwork that needs signing but they already have the system in place.

3 lies.

Lie 1 - the figure.

Lie 2 - the NHS piece.

Lie 3 - dumbing down the entire topic by conflating a number which has many intangibles connected to it with domestic spending when they are totally unrelated, creating a false connection.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Could it go to the NHS instead. YES.

Look at the spun head line to discreaded brexit.
BBC News - Brexit shutdown slashes UK car production by 45%
[Link]
Then goes to say.
"Production for both home and overseas markets fell by 43.7% and 44.7% respectively."
"The stoppages in the factories have exacerbated a continuing slow down in the global car industry caused by the trade tensions between the US and China, uncertainties over the arrival of electric and self driving cars, and tougher environmental controls after the VW emissions scandal."
Didnt we have mass job cuts in the 80's when car factories closed down whilst in the EU and later rover closed down.
If Boris is going to court this should be considered bbc story should also.

You haven't answered my question.

1. The figure - erm yeah it's out a bit but I've already explained this, it's somewhat a half truth.
Ill give you this one.

2. The NHS piece
We send the EU £350m a week
Let's fund our NHS instead
vote leave
It doesn't say give all 350m a week to the NHS although it's sensible to think that should we save x amount by leaving some of it can fund the NHS.
Its accurate enough.

3. Dumbing down the topic
Britain pays in more than it gets out, it's the side of a bus, what on earth do you expect to be printed on the side of a bus? Perhaps it should be covered in small print, would that make it more palatable?
Again nothing to see here.

The legal action is a grotesque waste of time & money, its been funded by hard Remainers who see anyone who doesn't conform to their npc hive mind as literal reincarnations of Hitler, ie. They should never be taken seriously.

Yup I saw the headline but when you read the article the two don't tally. That is not to say that the Brexit isn't isn't having an impact but you only have to look at worldwide car production to realise the main causes of the downturn.

Inevitably the paper are now investigating the person who brought the case against Boris. Like most of us he is not perfect, expect a few skeletons to fall out of his cupboard.

It has also been pointed out that Boris wasn't the only one using the £350million claim, a number of other high profile Leave politicians also did so why are they not being prosecuted as well?

Apparently the wrong winners were shown on BGT must be a Remainer doing the scores.

They are still clutching at straws. Remainers are becoming a bit loathsome to me and starting become the real thickos of society

So if the UK gives the EU 13 billion a year but gets back 4 billion in a rebate, does anyone know who chooses where the 4 billion is spent or goes?

My thinking is if the EU chooses where the 4 billions goes then actually if we left the EU we could literally give , if we choose to give the NHS 13 billion a year.
anyone know what that is a week?

I don't think that Boris has lied. He has skewed the numbers to make a point but all politicians do. Ask the Tories how the economy is doing they will reel off a load of facts that tell you it's great. Ask Corbyn the same question and you will get a different answer because it's cherry picking.
