If Johnson gets down to the last two candidates who will then go to the party membership for selection it will be a no contest. The left correctly fear him the most so that's why this case is happening. Hopefully the majority of Tory MPs will do what their opposition most fears. That said however, I don't think that Johnson is even the most ardent leaver amongst the candidates. But he can win the Tories an election.......it will be interesting to see what happens.

If this results in a conviction then Farage will be doing life in strangeways inside 6 months. Joking aside if this makes politicians stop and think, for just 1 second, before spreading at best somewhat misleading and at worse totally false lies in terms of stats and figures, then it’s a good thing. If this results in a conviction then George Osborne should be next up in front of the beak for his comment that if Brexit won the economy would immediately crash and he would have to have an emergency budget

True, we all have reason to be annoyed by liars and those who manipulate to push distortions to get the outcomes they want. Still, the day we get politicians who don't do that is the day it isn't successful. As people enjoy hearing their own biases fed back to them....I can reliably inform you that this day will be a cold day in hell.

Reminds me of the John Major situation, I think one of the lesser names will sneak this because of his character, as well as his views. Many believe Johnson will finally rip apart the tories as he pushes for no deal against all odds. With politics changing massively and with the very future of the party at stake, perhaps a safer pair of hands makes more sense.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

I suppose as in life... some posters/people get more of a squeeze than others... I'd have loved to have got a warning...but I'll take it on the chin and soldier on... Not blaming anyone.

Hopefully the current political shifts will eventually result in something better aligned to the common man, though I won't get my hopes up. Few of the privileged Etonians representing us appear to have experienced decent, hard working lives and so it's no wonder that they have no shame in bulls***ting the public and looking down on our every day concerns.

Blair will have to follow, his warnings about WMD that led to hundreds of casualties was far worse than anything Boris has said. I'd like to know the background of this "entrepreneur" and who has backed him

I can't see anyway that they will stay as one party. Not convinced Labour won't go the same way as well.

You keep missing the point, I think your spidey sense is misfiring. I list over 20 people or groups and you come back with individual responses to 1 or 2 of them. There is such a thing as Trump Derangement Syndrome. Something else I have noticed is Brexit Derangement Syndrome. People who suffer from that think every single person who warns against it is disingenuous and has nefarious ulterior motives. A BDS sufferer can never accept a single criticism or possible downside of Brexit. I think the head of the National Union of farmers is warning against a no deal crash out of the EU as it will be a catastrophe for the farming industry. Have any of the remainers on here accepted any possible advantages of leaving the EU?
