Free speech. Ask what you want. Just like I have the right to chuckle and point out you how ridiculous it sounds.

Goes against decades of reviews, research and summaries of what happened in that era that have been challenged, evolved and honed over time into the conclusions you can read about today. So you'd need something pretty big and evidential to counter thousands of peoples collective research and probably millions of hours of interrogation of the events. It's probably one of the most extensively researched viral events in human history, and for good reason.

And no. Rather obviously in 100 years COVID will not be reported the same as it was in 2020. Just like Spanish flu isn't now. Facetiousness

Feel free to investigate though. Always good to learn about new topics.

That's fine. All I did was ask the question. The whole covid debacle has given me every reason to question and to be sceptical of things and the way they are reported or presented to us.

And all I did was point out to you that although you have the right to ask it, its a pretty stupid question based on nothing other than feeling.

God knows what your daily life is like if you can't believe anything anyone says. Well, apart from anyone that questions whatever you define as 'the narrative' or that aligns with your own POV.

Scepticism is fine but only if you're prepared to accept that not everything is actually worth being sceptical about. And also only if you're prepared to accept that sometimes the powers that be are actually right? Much like sometimes independent dissenting voices are right. But they're both not right all the time.

Otherwise you're just wasting a lot of time and energy on something you have decided you know the answer to anyway. Don't see the point. Unless you're retired and have little else to do than lament for evermore, in which case maybe I can sort of understand.

Madness

I didn't realise that you got all your essential covid information from historical political quotes, intriguingly from people who you most likely dislike. Odd

Maybe he doesn't like politicians who lie ?

At a slight tangent, but Covid was used as a massive personal data gathering exercise.(I think I've mentioned a few times)

I was looking at going to Glastonbury in 2024, but even to register for tickets you have to fill in a load of personal information (address, mobile number, etc) and a passport photograph.
Registering is FREE.
I understand security reasons for this and trying to dissuade touts.
Now, excuse my scepticism, but having a few hundred thousand people on a database , with all their contact details and a photograph must be worth a lot of money to some sectors. I wonder where the details of these potential festival-goers ends up ? Government departments, just for starters.

Registering is indeed FREE, because who in their right mind would pay simply to register. Entering all that information for Glastonbury has been the norm since at least 2007

Data you submit to companies and sites has been shared and sold for the last 20 years +. Some do, some don't. It's also not really a secret – it's a well known fact, often brought up in the media and rampantly exploited by Facebook, for example. Look at the privacy policy and it tells you exactly what they do with your data, share/sell or otherwise.

I look forward to changing my POV when you win the Pulitzer prize for discovering that the Spanish flu was in fact one big sham.

I may need to revise my signature up yet again.

That's true.

But it's only the lies of the ones with power that matter.

Though it is valid to criticise all deliberate lies and half truths just as a holding of the line for civilisation.

The unfortunate reality being that the system produces Liar A and Liar B and expects you to use your judgement on the lesser evil when in truth they often amount to the same sh1t sandwich.

Crap system.
