The Hungarian PM has now waded in re their game V ROI . . .
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

If only we had someone with balls like Viktor Orban.

Now Scotland have said NO, to the knee. Good for them.

Only the Brits could sabotage their chances of winning a tournament by polarising their own supporters and other teams supporters. There will be more coverage of the knee bending or not and the booing than the football. It is a shocking state of affairs. Football and politics are not compatible.

The England fans who sing No Surrender and Ten German Bombers have never had an issue with politics coming into football in the past. Ironically, the Venn diagram of those who sing those songs and boo the knee is probably a perfect circle.

Well, the poll you linked to showed 39 percent of English opposed the knee bending so it's likely to far exceed your caricature.

I can’t say I’ve ever heard them sung at a football match.

So if the opposing team doesn’t kneel and the England team do and the fans boo, how do the authorities know whether the booing is against the kneeling or against the standing team for not having solidarity with the cause?
hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing. |

Sounds tame to some of the stuff I've heard in the stands...when I was going back in the Championship days. You hear some weird stuff. I remember this guy insistently shouting out to Scannell that he loved him and blowing him loud kisses. Edited by Stirlingsays (10 Jun 2021 5.32pm)

Having said that, football crowds should probably be representative of the entire community and whatever happens can never be wholly unexpected. Alcohol helps.

Yes, education is a wonderful thing. It’s a shame there are so few good students. So many people prefer to talk about things they barely understand instead of listening to the experience and wisdom of others. Maybe more teachers should use the “huge blow up” tactic in the classroom as a way of imparting their wisdom.
