I watched Ajax play under de Boer and believe me, he got results but in a style of football that was very very boring. I believe he would be totally unsuitable for us, both for his philosophy (very much a Van Gaal way of thinking, no surprise considering their mutual history) and his lack of knowledge and feeling for the English game. Let's face it, in the PL we are one of the few teams that still plays in a style like the lower l Originally posted by black eagle.
Agree.both very good managers.

Agree.out of the coaches that we have been linked with last couple of days Dyche looks the weakest candidate. Would be massively underwhelmed if we get Dyche.

I really don't see why Dyche 'would be a disaster'. To me he looks like a 'safe' option. The others might be better (or they might not) but Dyche has shown he can keep a pretty limited team in the PL. He didn't do it playing bright, expansive football but then he didn't have that type of player available to him or the resources to go out and buy them. Not saying he'd be exciting but I doubt he's be a disaster.

How you work out that dyche would a disaster. He keep Burnley up on a low budget. He coached the likes of Trippier, heaton and keane all which are in the current England squad. Whilst it's no a huge name , if he does a similar job to Burnley with better resources. We will comfortably finish mid table.

It all depends on where idiots are putting their money, those idiots don't necessarily know their Arsene from their Zola. For example, yesterday one bookie was showing odds for Pellegrini of something like 20 / 1 presumably because some moron couldn't tell the difference between him and Pellegrino.

I am happy with all three suggested. Can't believe people turning their nose up at Dyche - idiots wanting fancy continental names when likely never watched any of the teams they have managed. As others have mentioned Dyche has done well with young talent and anyone that can turn Joey Barton into a functioning human being on the pitch deserves a medal. Not me necessarily blowing the Dyche trumpet for the job but can't understand the negativity against him.
