If we where all at Selhurst now, and the announcement cam ocer speaker that he signed, would we cheer like we did at Sheff Wed?

This point may well have been made in this gigantic thread already, so if so apologies and this is quite a negative view but i feel given that as Howe is highly sought after and one of, if not the brightest young prospect in english management , then surely his next club , be it us charlton or Burnley will only be a stepping stone for him before one of the prem teams comes in from him. Do we want a stepping stone in charge ? surely we need stability and to be looking longer term. Sir Steve and Dougie step forward !!!

Palace 4/11 Nothing in it between us and the clowns The bookies clearly think he will take the Palace job, resign immediately, take the Charlton job & do likewise, moving to Burnley so being all 3 teams next manager. Either that or the odds are such a rip off as to be no use as a guide of anything other than the gullibility of some punters. Covering the spread I believe is the term, the bookies have no more idea than we do. Though I think Burnley would be the wise choice of the spread, from a purely career mind. Guarenteed championship status, and with a recent windfall, income, fairly good squad and decent recent history.
Goodness is what you do. Not who you pray to. |

Eddie Howe just moved into to 1/5 to be next Palace boss with Skybet, he's out to evens for the clowns and 5/2 for the Burnley job.... Not that I'm saying this indicates a lot. But certainly moved towards us this morning.

Sir Steve and Dougie step forward !!! not really, the thing with talent is to spot it and help develop it whilst achieving mutual goals. If he moves on the idea is that we are stronger because of him and able to appoint someone else of a similar or higher calibre. just my thoughts

Er Coppell was the first person they talked to, he turned them down it seems. I'll take being a stepping stone on an illustrous march to personal success, rather than wash ups last throw of the dice or last horrah before the end. Jordon getting Warnock might just have been his masterpiece.
