How nice.

I've been enjoying their recent immigration policy announcements.

Weirdly they've weakened and strengthened it in almost equal measure.

Anyway different topic for a different thread.

Back to the great Spanish 'flue' conspiracy

Spanish flu apparently wasn't the main issue. Secondary pneumonia as a result of a weakened immune system was.

Anyway I digress – what are you suggesting here, some mass conspiracy in the early 1900s? Where does this dross end. Absolutely Rabbit holed.

I am just being inquisitive. Dare I ask the question and be labeled and fobbed off as a conspiracy theorist?

We can agree on that then. He did say it.

BIDEN: “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” — town hall.

"BIDEN: “If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the IC unit, and you’re not going to die.” — town hall."

Clearly both were wrong and misinformation.

Blithering idiot. Although I do note with some relevance that this was in 2021. I think that point has been corrected and debunked many times over by many people across many different sources by now. Although if you're stuck reading 2021's news in a permaloop I'm afraid you're screwed.

Also – as is common on here misinformation from people/sources that others don't like is oft pointed out, but it never is for those that they do.

Because to do so would go against certain belief systems, and then the whole ideology falls apart. Again, much like religion. It's bizarre

But apparently that's misinformation with love.

Not that nasty money driven misinformation that all those basement incel Youtubers are putting out there....if only they had the right kind of editors and lawyers they could agree with CNN.

Biden of course has never earned any dodgey money during his time and doesn't lie deliberately...Graduated top of his class you know....family worked down pit....Irish as a leprechaun.

He's just an old lovely coherent guy with a totally normal interest in the hair smell of young children.

It's really quite interesting politically down there at the moment.

You literally did just that. Free speech and all that. What's your rationale for it though? Because all I can see at the moment is Because COVID = Spanish Flu was a sham.

Not particularly useful

Nothing wrong with asking questions or making sweeping statements but you need to back it up with some sort of reasoning for uttering the hypothesis in the first place.

It's not like the spanish flu happened a long time ago and people have had over a century to analyse and evolve the reasoning and causes for why it happened based on extensive data and reporting from and post the time.

There's sensible questions and then there's that.

Feel free to come back with a retort that is worthy of debate, i.e. evidence based

Sounds like you've been listening to RFK. If that's the case, you're beyond help

He's a politician. Not a saint. It would be nice to have some younger candidates competing at the next election however, rather than these two over the hill geriatrics again.

'Information'

Very broad term.

Depends on what type of information, doesn't it.

I can say anything I like and call it 'information'. Doesn't make it in the least bit credible though – credible information holds water after investigation. Whimsical hypotheses are not 'information'.

Gullibility and naivety is not a particularly endearing trait.

My rationale is...most of covid was BS perhaps the Spanish flu was aswell? It's just a question no evidence or anything it's just somthing I may dive deeper into.

Like I said just a question. Am I not allowed to ask it? That's fine if there was extensive data and factual reporting. I'm just asking the question...

Perhaps in a hundred years from now they will report covid just as they did the Spanish flu 100 years ago?

Indeed, my sarcasm was more in relation to how a certain poster talked about him during the 2020 elections when this stuff was rehashed.

I agree, they should have some age cap, the Washington power base, left and right is like some old people's home for boomers who won't retire.....some in clear mental decline.

It's embarrassing.

Free speech. Ask what you want. Just like I have the right to chuckle and point out you how ridiculous it sounds. It's a pretty atrocious research question, but suppose you've got to start somewhere. I'm sure RFK would sponsor you.

Anyway... what you're proposing goes against decades of reviews, research and summaries of what happened in that era that have been challenged, evolved and honed over time into the conclusions you can read about today. So you'd need something pretty big and evidential to counter thousands of peoples collective research and probably millions of hours of interrogation of the events. It's probably one of the most extensively researched viral events in human history, and for good reason.

And no. Rather obviously in 100 years COVID will not be reported the same as it was in 2020. Just like Spanish flu isn't now. Facetiousness

Feel free to investigate though. Always good to learn about new topics.
