Of course immigrants don't lower wages, but mass immigration is to lower wages. Why would you bother to have it otherwise?
Only so may jobs need expertise from abroad.

You lot are obsessed with so called xenophobia.
Some issues with migrants are perfectly legitimate. Tagging people with concerns as rabid xenophobes is
barrel scraping politics.

Hrolf

I totally agree.

A question to all: When was the last time an immigrant and/or refugee actually ruined your day personally?

Was in London for 40 years and am trying to think of an instance when one p1ssed me off royally but I can't.

I said certain sections, not all. Learn to read properly before jumping to conclusions. I've a 'get those f***ing foreigners out' as a reason for leaving neighbour, and there's plenty more. Stop denying it. You seem so black and white (no pun intended) about your choice that it seems you see no downsides to your choice and are blinkered to anything negative about it, responding with 'of course your sort would think that'type remarks without dissemination of arguments.

Not at all. I'm not voting based on immigration issues and as far as I am aware neither Leave nor Remain are (at least publicly) championing the complete cessation of immigration.

That Britain First bird with the very British name Jeyda Freya could play for the Netherlands as she is of Dutch stock. She's like a cuckoo, taking over an English persons rightful home then saying to newcomers 'get out this is my nest'

She pisses me off royally.

Another question I have, not trying to be provocative, but let's say it's about immigration and nothing else.

If everyone voting to remain is so certain that immigration isn't causing us a problem because there is a sensible level of immigration, the people that enter aren't a burden on our taxes and instead are good, hard working people that contribute to our economy (I post this not to dispute any of that) how different would controlled immigration be?

Surely controlled immigration is a concept that welcomes a sensible level of immigration with people working hard and contributing to our economy.

Who is it that we're going to stop coming in if we vote to Leave?

Why pose a simplistic, pointless question?

From an impartial point of view leave would be an interesting outcome as it could result in so many different responses. The vote is advisory not binding but it would seem unthinkable that the government wouldnt follow the will of the people. A clear majority of them are pro EU though. I can see them dragging their feet and in the meanwhile the EU offering another yet deal and possibly another vote.

If that hurdle is cleared i wonder to what extent freedom of moving will be drawn back. Our government loves immigration and just uses 'cant do anything about it sorry' as a way of blaming the EU. Which party is going to 'really' reduce the numbers to 'tens of thousands'? Any of the main parties? The only alternative outside of that would be ukip. Would they have enough support to win an election outright? Interesting times.

Immigration is controlled. I'm cooking at the moment, will expand later...

I remember a time now I got p1ssed off with one: Wong Kei's and a right polite waiter. I complained.
