No Jimenez, its down to 3 factors: 1 - Trump's trade and tariff war Remove 1 of those 3, and perhaps 5000 people would not be going to bed tonight knowing they will likely be fired soon. This is BY FAR the biggest reason. The Chinese have produced more steel in the LAST 2YEARS than Britain has in its entire existence! There's no way we could compete; even if it is a far superior product then that which the Chinese is producing.

Well, as we have seen on media and on these boards.....it's all a bit of a laugh isn't it. Except when it happens to Corbyn of course....and then the guy gets a month inside. This is definitely Not OK. I think the milkshake thing is more to try and ridicule ridiculous people that have put themselves at the forefront of it. Doing it over an innocent bloke who has served his country is beyond way too far.

Lets say rather than being called names (alledgely), Anna Soubry had a milk-shake chucked over her. Would that be justfied?

Voter intimidation The "tolerant" pro-EU response to a party finally, unambiguously, providing a platform to those disenfranchised by the mainstream parties has been.. well, disgusting frankly. [Tweet Link] This is serious. Piers is wrong it's not a Brexit polling station its a "polling station" where eveyone votes. I assume this gentleman is one of the party people who stand outside and ask people how they vote, ignore them or tell them it's your choice. I say it's serious because in 20 years of manning a polling station I have never seen anything like this. In fact I have said on many occasions that it's a pleasure and privilege to serve the public who on the whole are polite well mannered and sympathetic to the staff. He may not be part of the official polling staff but this type of intimidation has to stop or next you will have soldiers coming to your home to escort you to the polling station. Whoever did this must get a stiff sentence so the public understand that interference in our electoral process is unacceptable. Our elections are based on the acceptance of the public for the process if that goes god help us.

It’s ridicule and embarrassment rather than any actual pain. Depends on the context and what she said, but yes, in the right circumstances Anna Soubry covered in milkshake could be amusing. Justified? Probably not. Funny? Probably.
