I know this is a one issue vote (effectively a soft referendum) but I will vote UKIP over the Brexit Party. Tactical voting to me always felt like a sell out to your own beliefs and the UKIP focus on confronting political correctness, guaranteeing free speech in law (reversing hate speech laws) and facing up to the real problems of radical Islam and mass immigration are to me are the most important issues in this country other than laws that stop crony capitalism. The characterization of both UKIP and For Britain as far right (although I know less about the latter) are all part of the problem. For all Farage has done to fight the EU (there would be no chance of Brexit without him) he's still playing within the skewed narrow cultural rules the majority of people don't agree with and that promote self censorship. He has purely focused just on the issue of democracy for a reason. We need a written constitution in this country, especially including an equivalent of the 1st, 2nd and 4th US constitution amendments. The founding fathers knew what they were doing.

Farage has been ruthless with Ukip and thrown them under a bus and used the Robinson and Youtube figures as an excuse for it. I imagine he's done it to build his own non members but subscription party model so as to avoid internal opposition. It's similar to the method Geert Wilders has used. It means he can build a coalition of members all focused upon him and it's paying off because Farage is a popular figure to the normal man/woman in the street. I'm a Ukip party member so I'll vote Ukip out of loyalty but while there are several problems with Farage.....it's the direction of travel that's important. So I've asked my non political partner to vote Brexit party. Brexit means Brexit and we should have left already. Edited by Stirlingsays (23 May 2019 1.56pm)

Voter intimidation The "tolerant" pro-EU response to a party finally, unambiguously, providing a platform to those disenfranchised by the mainstream parties has been.. well, disgusting frankly. [Tweet Link]

[Tweet Link] Well, as we have seen on media and on these boards.....it's all a bit of a laugh isn't it. Except when it happens to Corbyn of course....and then the guy gets a month inside.

Happy Vote day. Postal vote in for the Brexit Party. I would also advise people to take a pen when they vote. I wouldn't put it past those slime balls to erase your X.

Shocking, the left are laying their bed, To be clear: there has been a generally very restrained response to this type of political violence from a certain demographic, but I want to highlight some idiot threw water at that FemiDom prick yesterday. I think he's an astro-turfing POS with some very powerful and dangerous foreign political backers, but I don't condone that behavior in any way. Destroy them with political argument, not water, milkshakes, eggs, fists, placards to the head (as was customary for Farage), knives, acid or guns. They are already losing, let them do what apes do when they're threatened or irritated: fling their s*** at people in frustration. Then point and laugh. Rattle the cage they have trapped themselves in.

I voted Brexit this morning but as the day has worn on the reality of what is happening has only started to truly dawn on me. Almost 3 years ago we voted to Leave the EU. Having been promised by the Government that the result would be acted upon along with almost every single major political figure of the day warning us that this was a once in a life time opportunity to decide the issue. There was absolutely no discussion prior to the June 23rd vote that it would not be honoured. None at all. And yet, here we are, today, voting in elections for the European Parliament. Despite all of that. And despite having the A50 process run its course. This should be happening. But it is. We are f***ed. These w***ers, and that are to a man and woman absolute f***ing w***ers of the highest order, are not going to honour that vote. Perhaps I am guilty of hyperbole, perhaps in light of the morning I will realise that I am being a drama Queen but seriously, having to vote today is a travesty. An absolute, nailed on, betrayal. The very definition of treachery. Sickening. Truly sickening. What on earth have we become? Where on earth do we go? Our votes are ultimately meaningless. Because they are not actually allowed to change the important stuff. The things that truly matter. It was a simple Leave or Remain question. A majority voted Leave. That was it. Done. Dusted. And yet here we are. Back on the rollercoaster of the illusion of democracy. An utter farce. Beyond that. Sinister. Edited by Matov (23 May 2019 2.25pm)
