Nicola Sturgeon has announced a rent freeze for public and private rented properties as part of efforts to help people struggling with rising bills. The first minister said the cost-of-living crisis was a "humanitarian emergency" which could cost lives. Her government is to table emergency legislation banning evictions during winter and freezing rents until spring. There are also plans to freeze rail fares and to boost the Scottish Child Payment to £25 per week from November. Well done 'Krankie'. Freeze private rentals, very nationalistic and it’s Englands money she’s giving away. Go f*** off on your own sweaty w***ers.

From what I've heard fracking would mostly be a waste of time compared to just building more nuclear. They should certainly be looking in the north sea....feck what the little midget thinks. It takes around 4 months to get a fracking well producing fuel. They produce fuel for around 30 years. It takes around 30 years to commission a nuclear reactor. It's a good stopgap if you ask me.

With the shortage of water, I hardly think fracking is the answer. Nuclear is the way firward Fracking is the short term answer. It is relatively inexpensive and fairly immediate. I agree that nuclear is the long term solution, but we need energy now, not in 30 years time. Also, there really is no water shortage. There is only mis-management of water. In the coming winter you will see floods happening all over these isles. These floods could be prevented if the water was diverted to reservoirs, which would then prevent water shortages. It's so simple.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Ahh but then when houses are flooded it will be blamed on climate change, not the fact those houses were built on a natural ‘flood plain’ . Then they can justify the green tax. Like a vicious circle.

From my understanding it doesn't really matter if we open fracking, nuclear, wind farms or solar plants, if the production remain in private hands.

Fracking has not been proved to be safe. Cons are possible earthquakes and air and water pollution. Only 2 sites were started here both shut down by a moratorium due to safety issues. It isn't immediate, would take several years of drilling. There may not actually be much shale gas in the UK. There is obvious long-term structural damage.
