Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Nuno was always too “good” for us. Ever remember the unsettling (and rare!) occasion back in the day when you got chatted up by the fittest woman in the bar/club? Rarely got anywhere as - typically she was just trying to make some other bloke jealous. I don’t blame Parish for going for it though, we all have done the same…

This whole situation is starting to seriously concern me now. I’d like to think that right now final negotiations are going on with a view to making an announcement in the next few days but we all know all too well that it’s probably going to drag on for quite a while longer because that’s what we do. It’s depressing quite frankly.

I said a week or so ago that we didn't need to settle for second or third choice at that point, as the night was still quite young. It's not quite so young now, but neither are we anywhere near last orders. Plus even if we leave it too late and get the cold shoulder from our second or third choice, we can always seek out Allardyce in the queue for the kebab van. He'll be the one pissing in the street.

But I fear we will all end up with a terrible headache in the morning.
