Maybe it's my rose tinted glasses but I can't ever recall the way we play being anywhere near as bad as this under Pulis and Sam... Kenny you have nailed it, like i mentioned the fans on here have lost all perspective.

We are either on a bad run which, is irretrievable leading to relegation or a blip that can be reversed with a win and then some. This should be the thoughts going through SP’s mind at present and the board. Is it better to stick with a highly experienced pair of hands and better the devil you know who hasn’t got a relegation on his CV or cut loose and appoint someone from within or a fresh face all of which, carry a risk at varying degrees. We have an aged squad, many of whom are out of contract come the end of this season with Roy still in two minds whether to stay or start the gardening. Is there any wonder therefore that there are problems and big ones. Roy can’t see beyond the end of the season and the players the end of the current game they are playing in although at present “playing” is somewhat an over statement. Add into this Ray with Covid. No motivation, no inspiration, no organisation both and off the pitch with uncertainty at the core. Has Roy lost the dressing room or temporarily mislaid. The chairman and board will already know which and if it’s the former a decision needs to be taken and quickly. So fellow members has Croydon Roy lost the dressing room and would Ray, Dougie or a n other who is available after the January window has closed, do any better job?

It wasn’t that long ago we were scrambling a result against Sheffield Wednesday to stay in the Championship! There are a lot and I mean a lot of people on here that have lost all perspective about the club, the Manager, the Directors and the quality of player we can afford to buy. We are punching above our weight period. I’m confident we will stay in the division and Roy will go and we will get a younger, hungrier manager. But at the moment I wouldn’t want Roy to go. Too many on here with this Dinosaur mentality, thats history and we will be back at scenarios like the one you mentioned with that thinking! That is no excuse anymore.......Its called GROWTH

You can't be serious right!!!? Least we had a spine, theres not a player in the league who doesn't come to bully our boys now, and do so successfully all game also (barring Zaha or Eze with one moment of magic that sometimes comes off each game)......I'd have Sam over Roy everyday and night of the week

I notice you say some, which means you agree with some of it. There was nothing positive in that performance. We were second best in every department, our effort and tenacity never matched theirs. Then you look at individual performances such as Townsend’s which was appalling. He has given the ball away a staggering 40 plus times in the last two matches but is still considered the best player for that position. Milivojevic was terrible in the centre of midfield and Benteke was, well, just Benteke. As for our defence and even our normally reliable goalkeeper, utterly shambolic in their set up and defensive execution. Are you saying that none of this is the manager’s responsibility and that we as fans have got it all wrong? Fans don’t go into meltdown for no reason, they do it because they passionately want their club to play the best they possibly can and when they see performances like that it is entirely understandable why they challenge the team selection, tactics and failure to adapt during the course of the match. Your response to this is an easy one to make and your attitude is that you have some sort of superior intellect by underplaying the situation and belittling other fans opinions. However, all it tells me is that you have no real passion for your team. When I said "some" was on a par with Mr Dodgson, I meant some of it. It doesn't mean I agree with any of it. That is merely your assumption. Individual performances are not influenced by a manager. How can any manager make Townsend's passing accuracy better? Only the player himself can improve that. None of that is the manager's fault. Fans go into meltdown after a loss. As simple as that. Back in the day it was a punch-up. Now it's a meltdown on social media. My response is calm, I admit, as I have followed Palace for quite a while. This is nothing new to me. I'm sorry that you feel my attitude is not one which the pant wetters understand, but that is because you lack rationality. Passion I have in abundance. I just lack your "entitlement".

To me the question is less about losing the dressing but the divisive atmosphere and loss of interest that arises when so many are out of contract at the same time and think their future may be elsewhere.

No Croydon Roy has not lost the dressing room we have just been losing to teams who were playing better than us on the night.
