I think he's been mentioned as a possible a little bit further back. I like the sound of him, signed Dragovic for Leverkusen who I'd love to see play for palace. Similar money as Sakho though I'd fear

One of the 2 Messrs Schmidts being linked. Let's hope if he joins he doesn't dive bomb.

Quite like the idea of Roger Schmidt. Obviously he would be a bit of a risk (who isn't?) and he seems to be a bit of a hot head but hey what's wrong with a bit of passion? He has a near-on 50% win ratio as a manager but whether he would be able to do that in the Premier League is obviously unlikely.

Or turn out to be a useless Fokker.

In that case he would get it in the Shorts.

3 candidates (dyche,Pellergino and roger Schmidt) set for interviews this week as the search for the next manager ramps up a gear. Also an experienced/veteran prem coach also set to be interviewed later in the week. - my guess would be hiddink or Lvg

I'm in no position to be ageist but "a veteran" sounds like a euphemism of some kind.

Lol love the bit that says:

`Another as yet unnamed European coach - described as "a veteran" with Premier League experience - is also showing interest in the post and is expected in London this week.`

Watch the wild speculation run rampant with that little nugget (Only one I can think of is Louis Van Gaal)

Well Monk and Woy both seem to be out of it. Thank God.

The only "veteran" PL coach I'd like the sound of would be Sam Allardyce. What? Oh.

There have been many names banded about, as to who will be the next manager!

What should we expect from the next appointment?

What would be classed as a success in their first season, if they make it to next May?

The problem all new managers have, is that they inherit players that previously were purchased by former managers. Should they carry on in our current playing style or should they be given time to build their own team, playing to the formation they want?

How long should they be given to build their own team and playing style?

Everybody wants instant success, what happens if it doesn't happen? Can we afford to lose another manager?
