Day before an election, nice touch.

She is quitting now with one eye on another leadership run, perhaps she is trying to bring that race forward timewise.

Tories teetering on the edge of the abyss here.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

British Steel collapsing, in part thanks to Brexit uncertainty.

Its not solely down to Brexit, but it is a large factor.

Who has the balls to go and knock on the front door of a Steel worker in Scunny and expound the virtues of Brexit?

Will Farage and Johnson pay their mortgages when they get laid off?

Down to EU State aid laws is the correct answer. So much for the EU being good for Industry (unless you're French or German of course)

Business Secretary Greg Clark said the government had shown its "willingness to act", having provided the British Steel with a £120m bridging loan in April to meet EU emission rules and avoid a steep fine.

Who will go to Scunny and expound the virtues of Brexit to someone about to lose their job, in part because of Brexit?

Does anyone have the balls to do that?

Latest poll:

People of the country now want to remain in the EU. You should fear a second vote because the tide has turned on Brexit and the majority of people dont want it anymore.

No Jimenez, its down to 3 factors:

1 - Trump's trade and tariff war
2 - China's increased steel output in the last 5 years
3 - Brexit

Remove 1 of those 3, and perhaps 5000 people would not be going to bed tonight knowing they will likely be fired soon.

The link doesn't work and we are leaving.....The polls before the Brexit vote had remain winning as well.

Tomorrow the Brexit party will win the MEP elections. You are on the wrong side of this and tomorrow is going to be fun.

I think Brexit is to blame but not the fact we voted out but the fact it hasn’t been done yet. That can be blamed on remainers and hard Brexiteers. Uncertainty and the fact Brexit hasn’t happened is the Brexit impact on British steel, not Brexit itself. If Brexit hadve happened already either via no deal or a deal, then British steel wouldn’t be bust.

Also the fact that we paid the EU a fine on carbon emissions didn't help.

Just had a thought, yes I know I should go and lie down...

I believe that the EU is undemocratic and that real power lies with the unelected. However some Remainers are now arguing that if the Brexit party wins tomorrow it is meaningless. Shouldn't they be arguing that the European parliament and it's MEPs are incredibly important?

Time for a lie down.

It is meaningless in the context of making any kind of contribution towards resolving the current Brexit mess as it has no bearing whatsoever on domestic politics. If some kind of Brexit is eventually agreed then it will also be meaningless in EU terms because those whom we send there tomorrow will have to resign their seats.

It is a pointless waste of time and money and I have heard several people saying they will spoil their votes to emphasise that is how they feel.
