Just had a thought, yes I know I should go and lie down... I believe that the EU is undemocratic and that real power lies with the unelected. However some Remainers are now arguing that if the Brexit party wins tomorrow it is meaningless. Shouldn't they be arguing that the European parliament and it's MEPs are incredibly important? Time for a lie down.

Do you really believe that? Or are you not thinking past the end of your nose? Lets say that there's a 2nd referendum and that the remain vote wins...BUT we have a tranch of 40 or so BREXIT MEP's in place...that's going to cause mayhem for the EU. It'll just throw a massive spanner in the EU bureaucratic system...but then as you see it, teh vote tomorrow will not make any difference...but then i guess its hard to have your finger on the pulse from way over there.. Having a host of Brexit MEPs wont make any difference at all to what happens on Brexit. The only way out of this mess is a 2nd vote. In that vote, I hardly think any remainers are going to vote leave just because the Brexit party did well in the MEP elections. Ergo - it wont change a thing about that vote. I would like to see Farage try to operate if we do end up remaining in the EU. If that does occur, in the next wave of MEP elections, the Brexit MEPs will likely be swept from power as people realize if we are staying in we better make the best of it, rather than have a bunch of one issue double agents running around there trying to poison the well.

Exciting times. No leader of a party was ever fired the day before an election were they? Reminds me of the Pulis situation although he quit. They will get hammered tomorrow, then she will get ousted surely, on the back of a historic defeat. Gove or Johnson cannot renegotiate the WA though, and there is no majority for no deal, so it doesnt change much really.

You sound like the SNP..it may come as a surprise but Scotland is part of the UK (they had a referendum remember) and therefore are bound by the vote. Are you saying they should be allowed to remain? If so, those areas that voted to leave should be allowed to leave, right?
