Even when the likes of Trump and his kids post 'fraud' videos that can be disproved within 5 seconds, there's no lightbulb moment of 'hold on, maybe i'm on the wrong track here', as if repeated instances of provable nonsense don't detract from the person saying it. Well, they certainly have a vested interest in thinking that...

Not quite. Clinton commented at a time when it appeared in the balance. The thought was al gore was far too decent in 2000 when dubya swindled the election in his brothers state and they feared Biden being equally sportsmanlike this time round. As it transpired Biden ran away with it.

Regardless she was commenting upon an eventuality of the Democrats losing and hence criticism of republicans represents a double standard unless Democrats had also criticised her.....which they didn't. The 2000 election was decided on one state and the Supreme court were going to be criticised whichever stance they took. Personally I don't pretend to know whether their decision was a 'swindle' or not but find it somewhat head scratching that Democrats now find the idea of Trump contesting absurd, when the general consensus among Democrats seemed to be that Gore gave in too easily. I supported Gore at the time as the Democrats in 2000 bare little resemblance to the Democrats today....and as it turned out Bush was just an awful president all round....Still, he's their darling now due to TDS.
