I reckon it would be utterly bizarre to get rid of Roy on footballing grounds only to replace him with Dyche. Like totally bizarre. But I do get why he appeals to some, he has worked wonders with Burnley and will all but guarantee survival. He is not quite the carbon copy of Roy in terms of entertainment value.

I mistakenly suggested that I suspect this may mean we're still going after him on the BBS and for some odd reason it didn't go down well. But, yes, I suspect there is a reason he still hasn't signed it. Perhaps for bargaining purposes, perhaps we're still pursuing him. why would it, unless you're in the clique?

Our best choice, in my opinion. Got Burnley into Europe. Has fought relegation. Has worked on a low budget at a difficult club. Safest option without doubt

I think people may be surprised with the way Dyche can get a team to play, given the right type of players. I would be happy with him

Looking at one of the Swansea City fan sites they don't seem to like or value Steve Cooper all that much. Some of them saying they'll be glad if he goes. Football unimpressive. Not a good sign if we do bring him in. And judging by his looks he appears to have been on one hell of a bender for the last few years!

Not much noise the last couple of days, just the same old about Cooper, Lampard and Dyche. I was thinking though could it be that if Everton have decided to not go with Nuno he would reconsider his demands to come to us and this is why we haven’t really heard much?

Did he? Do we know that or have I missed something somewhere? there would have been informal chats between Steve and Roy sounding each other out about a contract extension. Many managers have lost their jobs due to fan pressure and this influencing either consciously or sub-consciously club owners. I don't see why we would be any different. Well, we know what Roy has said himself in that, it was time for him to step away from football for a bit. In theory you could be right and he was asked to leave, but it's strange to believe that other what has been stated as truth.

He may have talked himself right out of the equation.

Very similar to Palace fan sites about Roy in the main, but there is no dispute that Roy was a quality manager, who knew how to get the best of his players. Some didnt like the style, but he got results.
