Working class people are likely to understand what it's like to have no pay rise for three years. The propaganda war is being won easily by Lynch - which is no surprise against this government. They'd somehow f* up making a cup of tea, have to sack someone and start an enquiry. The joke is that anyone's still fooled. Red and Blue Army!

The strikes have personally caused me major trouble three times. Yet, I just don't blame the workers anymore. For one thing their wages are ok, but not exactly making people comfortable these days. Barely anyone's wages do.

I think it's a fair point that the BBC are not balanced. I've always thought their agenda along the lines of 70s/80s academics. Everything on the left, good (including Stalin): everything on the right - fascist, Thatcherite, now 'far right' in their parlance.

It is a fine line - I 100% agree with people making money and with Companies doing well - the Capitalist world. Often that means that the dividends they pay are more important to them than the service that they provide - I don't like that but it is where we are sadly. As regards rail - the majority of the workers are doing fine in my opinion and I suspect they would get what they want if they gave up their "Spanish Practises", but they won't and therein lies the main issue. You cannot run a modern system where the workers are using archaic means and ways to carry out that work. Stop that crap and give them 10% - I would vote for that! Sorry - we are off topic from the BBC - apologies.

Bearing that in mind, the government have already paid out more to the rail companies (taxpayer's money), than they would have done by making a reasonable pay offer in the first place.
