Why do we often see players waving their arms to increase the noise from supporters. I would like to think they are wanting our help to play better. Am I missing something ? Its always irritated me when players do that. I rtemember years ago Ben Watson approached the Holmesdale and did that in a game the team were particularly crap. A rare shot came in and went wide which raised an encouraging cheer. Watson came running up windmilling his arms shouting come on as if the team being s*** that day was our fault. Many fans at the front sprang out their seats and shouted you f*cking come on! Backfired spectularly. Not a pleasant sight to see team and fans divided (like when the HF turned on the team after the Sunderland defeat). Its a shame when it happens but one group has no right to expect too much of the other. When they start to, division starts

It's a great compliment that Brighton fans are obsessed with Palace. Long may their inferiority complex continue I gave some money to a fighting fund to help their club stay in existence '(this was during the Goldstone ground era). I felt sympathy for them and wanted to save them. By contrast, they feel envy towards us. Doesn't that tell its own story? Originally posted by bexleydave
Why did they sign it in such numbers? Because it was a great opportunity to take the rise and watch our support tearing itself apart, which would be even funnier if Parish were to be pursuaded by it. That's why. And they won't have been the only club to have been making whoopee with a petiton that required no ID confirmation and could be signed by one person mutiple times (some of them have signed 200 times).

who knows how parish decided and on what basis? I do believe a vast majority of fans believe the HF are good for the atmosphere, based on the BBS poll, and the one thing their critics NEVER EVER have is ANY alternative suggestion to reverse the worsening atmosphere. Brighton can laugh all they like, but in a few years' time, if they establish themselves in the prem, and their fans are losing that against-the-odds excitement, I look forward to seeing their solution to having zero atmosphere. Premium clackers no doubt. The c***s.

Eagleman, no-one wants to see me naked! that would hurt you more than me! I like to think that by helping Brighton survive i paved the way for the day when they paid us back by signing that petition en masse. they helped us bring back the Fanatics! The world is now a happier place. Chants will be louder and longer. the team will be mightier. and the NHS will be £350 million a week better off! Originally posted by eagleman13

The last thing the club needs is infighting. Like the HF did you mean when the Club said wait till we have some space to move people or safe standing trial comes in. It is possible that the devil in the detail the club says a singing section no mention of HF or mention of blocks effected. When this is clarified then people effected can make their decisions to stay put , take the clubs offer or follow example of HF and decide not to renew season tickets.

Back in the day, i use to love singing in the arthur me too...in the enclosure. I remember being there for a game v miiiiiii and there were loads of the buggers in our end. then a big bald, and older, palace fan swung his brolley at a miiiiiiii and busted his nose. it all kicked off... We were looking at a beating I reckon but some big f***er called Chris was behind me literally pushing me to get stuck into them. luckily the OB created a line between them and us and my queensbury skills didn't get an airing.

Players like better atmosphere in games - whether it actually improves Results? we will never really know. I'd like to believe that it can increase performance to some degree, whether it's enough to change the result though - in some cases that % improvement may just be. I'd like to think that the atmosphere the HF create does more than just support the team on the pitch. They have become part of the image of the club. Without them we wouldn't have gotten the plaudits of one of the best atmosphere's in the PL. This in turn will help boost attendances and help grow fanbase ultimately increasing revenue for the Club so we can improve the team
