Not only would we get a tasty chunk of cash, it would be £120k p/w off the wage bill. If we can shift Benteke, we have to leap at the opportunity. We already needed a new striker regardless of whether he was staying.

He won't go to China. Personally (I know I'm in the minority) I want him to stay and try and prove he still has it in him.

He's had two years to show he's 20/30/40% of who he was, and he simply can't. No-one else would have been afforded that length of time, and the only reason we have is that we can't afford to replace him as he dominates the wage budget.

as much as i like bentekkers if its £15m now or he leaves for free next season then we should sell & replace him with either welbeck or sturridge on a free, i think we could attract either of those 2.

I think its only one year left on his contract, anyway, he has already stated he doesn't want to go to China weeks ago

He has driven me up the wall and back again but I would love nothing more than to see him banging in a heap of goals this season. I am praying this will be the year.

Can’t see it happening, people keep saying we don’t play to his strengths, but what are his strengths?? He doesn’t work hard enough to make things happen, he doesn’t attack the ball when it is put into the area, he needs the ball dropped straight on his head in space to have any chance of scoring ala his goal at Bristol yesterday, which is a big ask against premier league defences.
