Jahash was, literally, pony. He finished 10th at 3-1 2nd favourite. But he was only about 15 lengths back, quite close

Winnings now £18.69

Todays NAP is HAWKEYE in 2.15 Sandown. Others to watch Kings Mill (2.50 Sandown) and Livius (6.55 Haydock)

I'm away next week so no-one will be tipping.

Good luck

Cheers Saxon mate, nice work. I note that Saxon Queen runs tonight, I assume you'll be backing it?

Today's nap on my return is Harmonic (Wolverhampton 9.10), and A P McCoy should ride a few winners today.

Now... I'm off to read the last two weeks' posts just in case Bexter has said something slanderous about me. (I hope so....)

Harmonic was nowhere. Useless. Winnings down to £16.69...

Today's loser -- er, I mean nap -- is Platinum Duke in the 2.15 at Beverley.

Does anyone know anything about golf? There are good odds to be had on all the Open entrants, except Tiger of course, so I thought a few each-way bets might be in order. Except that Tiger is about the only one I've heard of....

HMHS - do you sometimes wonder if, once again, we are the only ones reading this?

Yes, frequently! But Bexter recently told me that HOL was much better without my "boring racing tips" while I was away... and she can't have known they were boring unless she'd read them, could she?!

Erm...

Slug - depends on whether you are a big punter or not. With a game so relatively reliant on luck, e.g weather conditions , bounce on the fairway etc, it just goes to show how head n shoulders above the rest Tiger Woods is that he has won 7 of the last 11 major tournaments. Genuinely if i had £10,000 to spare i would put it on Woods at 7-4 but the amount i bet doesn't make it worthwhile.
Having said that, after my attempt at Wimbledon tips which can only be described as a debacle. I feel unqualified now to suggest anything.
For what it's worth i'm backing Darren Clarke 50-1 (twice in top 3 in last 5 years)
and Nick Faldo 66-1 (won 2 of his majors at this course and back to form).

Hmmmm, quite. Could Bexter be a secret gambler trying to cover up her addiction? She's in denial
