Unfortunately we saw similar to this too much last season. I don’t think the Wolves game was a one-off and we will continue to get caught out in the air. As good as Guehi and Andersen are on the ground and passing, I feel their weakness is in the air. I would like to see us using whichever goalkeeper is best at dominating their area to give more confidence to the CHs if possible. Guaita didn’t dominate in the air at all, Johnstone is slightly better, not sure about Henderson as haven’t seen enough of him. About a couple of years ago I believe it was Roy Keane who stated that he thought Henderson had a weakness when the ball is in the air and he has players around him feeling that he does not dominate sufficiently in this situation.

It’s not something you see too often these days, the ol’ GK rushing out and breaking necks as he powers through the air to catch the ball. Most of them seem to either stay on their line or do an all too often pathetic attempt at a punch.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Anybody remember Pat Jennings who would come out and collect corners one handed?

Very happy going into the international break. I’d have to say that this year I have no fear of relegation. It’s a good feeling. Let’s have a go for a cup! Presumably less happy coming out of it, with two of our key players crocked. f***ing typical!!
