Everton wanted Wilf a few years ago when they were splashing the cash. Hodgson was asked about this at the time and confirmed it, but Palace chose not to sell him. Spurs also wanted Wilf when Pardew was manager and he actually asked for a transfer at the time. Again, Palace chose not to sell. Time will tell on Olise , but we can close our eyes and believe buyout clauses don’t exist or realistically acknowledge their existence .

Everton wanted Wilf a few years ago when they were splashing the cash.
Hodgson was asked about this at the time and confirmed it, but Palace chose not to sell him.
Spurs also wanted Wilf when Pardew was manager and he actually asked for a transfer at the time.
Again, Palace chose not to sell.

Time will tell on Olise , but we can close our eyes and believe buyout clauses don’t exist or realistically acknowledge their existence .

I don’t think anyone ever said buyout clauses don’t exist. Adams off Leeds was nearly off to Chelsea when they met his.

Agree - but i give you Lerma as an example.

Whatever Fulham are offering it will be less than Wilf was on, so we could have at least been in the equation.

Read the papers and listen to Roy's comments. Based on Roy's comments alone it's pretty clear there is something. The fact the quoted price is more than £35m 'suggests' that the wording is suitable vague

Maybe that never happened. But nobody seems to know the detail. Personally I don't put much value on the papers or clickbait. And I even would question how much detail Roy has. Don't forget, he wasn't here when Olise maybe refreshed his contract

Personally I don't put much value on the papers or clickbait. And I even would question how much detail Roy has. Don't forget, he wasn't here when Olise maybe refreshed his contract

If Olise had a release clause of £35m and he wanted to go, its laughable that no one has bought him. He is one of the top young talents in the Premier. They are paying way in excess of that for them this year. That is a strong argument to say no release clause.
