He was nudged by the defender who also got a touch, hence the corner given

Apologies I was confused with Eduoard. Just seen the Mateta header and, yes, he should have done better

Disappointing that we didn't get to hear Mr. Lineker's view last night.
He was probably waving a placard outside an embassy.
Any one would do.

Perhaps he was hosting a dinner party for some Channel crossing migrants

Could some kind, tolerant person tell me what this is about? It was commented on in Leicester's match thread, with one fan saying that if it had been the other way round, their players would have been surrounding the referee. I was at the match (or I thought I was), but I can't remember any penalty controversy. I've got a niggling doubt about the free kick for our first goal, and a stronger doubt about the non-free kick against Andersen just outside our area. But penalty?

I think it was the challenge on Eduoard. Personally thought he clipped the defender who then clipped him. Must say I shouted fora pen

No issues from me on both counts.
Referee Tim Robinson performed with aplomb.
He hails from West Sussex and our paths crossed a couple of weeks ago in a local Public House that I frequent.

I have ever heard of him or seen him before. Thought he was ok but could have brandished a few more cards and not let Maddison get in his ear all time

Predictable as ever. I don't know why, to save you the trouble, we don't all add your standard reply to our own comments when we post something that might just indicate that a referee hasn't quite been 100% correct in one of his decisions.

By the way, I'm disappointed that, after the way, a few weeks ago, that I held you up as the exemplar of advanced vocabulary, you should have misused the word "aplomb". Or did you subconsciously use it correctly on this occasion? After all, it means "self-confidence" or "assurance" - which this referee had in spades. But I suspect that's not what you meant.

Thank you very much, you are so kind.

Some would assert that my so called "Advanced vocabuary" is sesquipedalian prose laden with lexical hogwash.

Finally I am content with my use of the word "Aplomb" to describe the referee's performance, indeed he is worthy of fulsome praise.

Tim Robinson progressed from the local leagues in Sussex and I know former referees/assistants who have officiated with him at non-league level.

He mainly referees games in the Championship, but has refereed 2 PL games this season, the other being Wolves v Tottenham last month. He has also been a 4th official in the PL.

Brendan Rodgers has just left Leicester by mutual consent -

Their previous manager (Claude Puell) was also sacked the day after they lost at home to us 1-4.

Ironically, since then Leicester under Rodgers hadn't lost to us until... - yesterday (W4 D3).

I have a recollection of this.
Puel was relieved of his duties with Leicester 12th in the PL after 27 games. They had lost 5 of their previous 6 games.

Leicester put Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler in temporary charge and in their next game,Leicester beat Brighton 2-1 at home.
Stowell and Sadler have been put in charge for Leicester's home game against A.Villa on Tuesday.

With the greatest of respect you have misinterpreted my message.I can appreciate why my wording led you to gallivant down that path.

My recollection was purely due to the fact that I recall Puel being relieved of his duties after we played Leicester.I did have a conversation with a friend and Leicester supporter, sadly now deceased.

In some ways i don't think this game could have gone any better. I think we must have created more chances in the first half than we have in our last 10 games - if not more. Then to go behind after been so dominant we showed our resilience to not just get back into the game but to go and win it at the death.
From a fans perspective it was quite unbelievable about how one sided the first half was and it shows we can create chances and we can be entertained.
From a staying in the premier league point of view the resilience to come back from a goal behind will be more important.
