I agree. Desmond Haynes, Gordon Greenidge, Viv Richards, Brian Lara, Clive Lloyd, Courtney Walsh, Curtley Ambrose, Malcom Marshall, Joel Garner, Ian Bishop and Michael Holding all lacked spirit, fight and dedication But they didn’t have the opposition snapping at their ankles on a cold damp afternoon in the middle of winter!

If Parish and his 3 mates, hadnt bought the club, there wouldnt be a C Palace, if he didnt bring in the Yanks, we would of been relegated years ago. Steve (as that's obviously who you are) we are all grateful for saving the club and for what you've achieved in the last ten years but it's time for you to retire and for someone with deeper pockets to take over as we are currently only heading one way and that's back to The Championship

That's all history, it's the future that matters, history is littered with organisations that failed to progress with the times and as a consequence they no longer exist today. If Parish really cares about this club he would accept that his time is over and new blood is needed. The alternative is an ever increasing downward spiral to the lower leagues or worst still oblivion !

You do have to admit that we are starting to exhibit some of the characteristics of African national teams. It comes down to a lack of recruitment of quality strikers, too many players who don't know when or how to pass a ball, and a manager who doesn't seem to have many ideas.

I didn't go yesterday but it's disppointing to read that Olise was so poor. I'd (perhaps foolishly) started to believe that he and Zaha might dig us out of the slump we're in. Aside from these two I don't see where any quality is coming from. Ahamada's appearance doesn't sound encouraging either.

Lots of problems in squad quality, depth, experience and balance, but what has struck me recently is that the team dynamic of playing for each other has totally evaporated. Overpaid, under-motivated, playing firstly for themselves, not the team or the club. That might be harsh and perhaps not the reality, but that is how it looks. Then a manager who might know that, but then (apparently) forces the coach who might have said that out loud, to leave, suggests we have a real problem that can't be fixed without making changes in the back office. It may not be PV's doing, but doesn't look like he has the capacity to resolve the dressing room dynamic on and off the pitch.

A good day out other than the football and the poor facilities in the upper tier. Sad to say that we are so lifeless now with no tactics. Going to be touch and go this year but without massive changes it will be relegation for certain next season. Edited by Nth Kent Eagle (05 Mar 2023 7.09pm)

How the hell has that 6th Liverpool goal stood when ours didn’t. ??? I’m genuinely baffled

By the way, is there a reason why you misspelt Johnny Byrne’s name? Given recent posts you certainly look ‘dubious’. Edited by Mapletree (05 Mar 2023 10.48pm)
