You are correct that it seems that Parish doesn't have much to spend but Textor doesn't want to spend other peoples' money as he wants each shareholder to contribute in proportion to their voting rights which is completely different ME all of this including my own comments are just guess work. Textor seems to be having problems funding his Brazilian club so not sure where he would go get the money. I still think he is a pump and dump merchant just my own guess no evidence to back it up. For now I would rather have Parish putting the brakes on until we can find owners who are prepared to invest their own money.

In such times and given our past history I still maintain, whatever other spanners he may throw in the works, having Parish leading the club can only be in our best interests. Whilst it may be seen to inhibit significant progress I feel it equally provides some mitigation for any possible disaster.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Parish, Dougie and Vieira pulled off a great achievement last time in bringing in wonderful young players like Olise. In the summer they have got to do the same bargain, replaceable wonderfully reliable players like Ward and Jimmy Mac, plus replacing the irreplaceable Zaha. A very precarious time which could go badly wrong?

A very precarious time which could go badly wrong? 'Very badly wrong' in this context for me seems far more relative to the footballing side of things than an existential issue for the club. Relegation wouldn't be the end of everything albeit highly undesirable. 'Investors' playing financial games completely removed from the football context itself and virtually uncaring as to the status of our club is far more 'precarious' and threatening to me than the thought of Championship football. I've seen Palace relegated enough times to know how much it hurts however I also stood outside, fag in hand, on the brink of a heart attack against Sheffield Wednesday fearing for our future in those last few moments of the match. That feeling was far, far worse.

It does seem to be a ridiculous rule within our boardroom that no one can spend more than anyone else. Parish doesn't have £20m to throw in to the pot and why should the others front his share? The outcome is predictable. We keep scouring the obscure Scottish league and trying to pull rabbits out of hats on a shoestring until we go down. EFA

Hopefully that is straight enough. Personally I don't have access to the boardroom minutes where Parish and Co discuss business, does anyone? Otherwise it's all conjecture.
