The whole club is full of snides, from the boardroom to fans and their offspring it seems. Sure there are some decent ones, but there’s many snides and the decent ones accept them and know or believe they need them. Well they did to stay up, which is what the board did. Let them do whatever to save them from relegation.

Everton's biggest worry still has to be the likely lawsuit coming from Burnley regarding Everton's financial results. Compared to that, any fall out from Vieira is barely a scratch on them. I can't see the FA or Premier League having the front to do anything to Vieira. There's been such a public and media outcry at football safety this week that anything that comes across as someone being punished for defending themselves, especially without something substantially heavier going the other way, is going to open them up to even more criticism on a problem they have seemingly no idea how to solve.

Who had the right to be on the pitch? Big Pat presumably had authority to be there at the behest of the Everton management structure that required him to adopt a certain route. The 'fan' didn't and was breaking either the law, and/or condition of entry to the football stadium. Presumably Big Pat should have waited until the kid had thumped him before asking him politely to stop. Maybe a touch of the Belgrano about the incident but when you are surrounded by hundreds of opposing fans and you don't know what they are about to do, perhaps stating your position is not a bad concept. It is illegal for fans to be on the pitch. Vieira had to walk across the pitch as that is where the away changing rooms are, Everton had refused Pakace permission to use the tunnel. Forget the moronic t***s on the pitch, Everton should be hit with everything possible, will they? I doubt it

BREAKING Alistair Magowan BBC Sport Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira will face no further action from police after an altercation with a fan following the defeat at Everton on Thursday. Everton completed a 3-2 comeback win, which led to thousands of fans invading the pitch at full-time. During that pitch invasion, Vieira appeared to aim a kick at a fan after being taunted by him. But after an investigation where both Vieira and the fan were spoken to, Merseyside police said "the opportunity to make a formal complaint or support a prosecution was declined." Police said they "worked with Everton FC to gather all available CCTV footage and spoke to witnesses." The altercation was one of several incidents over the last week as fans have taken to the pitch to celebrate their team's achievements.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

I guess that they both(Vieira and the fan) didn't want to take the action further. Shame, really. there's no deterrent there. I hope Everton take action against the fan, that's the only course of action available now. I still hope Everton get done by the FA, but not holding up too much hope.
