That is the problem - there are no obvious candidates to do the job on either side of the house.

The audio clip involves a “heated conversation” with the party’s chief whip, according to The Times. DO IT !

if blackmail in government Office is suggested, and there is potential evidence, I want the police involved. This is potential corruption at the highest level. "threats to reduce or remove funding to constituencies, who's MP doesn't toe the Tory Whip line"

"threats to reduce or remove funding to constituencies, who's MP doesn't toe the Tory Whip line" The same police who are investigating the lapses in Covid rules and supposedly knew nothing about them or the police who operate inside and outside 10 Downing Street? Methinks there's something entirely rotten and it's not in the State of Denmark! Edited by Henry of Peckham (21 Jan 2022 4.44pm)

"If you are not loyal don't expect the party to support you in return?"

From one Tory MP: Blackmail is not just about money for constituencies, it’s tittle tattle, personal things, affairs or who’s been to a lockdown party. At the far end it’s corruption and misconduct in a public office – on the other it’s a breach of the ministerial code. Either way it’s a resignation issue. “The culture comes from the top – it’s learned, bullying behaviour. Unless you stand up to bullies, they carry on.” And it would take a lot for a solitary MP to stand up to them.

There's a coalition in Ireland, of the two parties who are the traditionally biggest rivals, plus the Greens. And yes, they're useless and corrupt. They swap between being Taoiseach (Prime Minister) on a sharing deal. FF Micheal Martin and FG Leo Varadkar, along with sleepy dishevelled Green, Eamon Ryan. Sinn Fein presumably next. Leo Varadkar is probably the only one you will know. He has the biggest PR machine.

Threatening an MP over party matters, even deselection, isn't illegal. A party though doesn't spend public money so threatening an MP over funding for their constituency seems likely to be illegal.

Here we go:- 'PM facing call to ensure all evidence is published in NO. 10 parties inquiry' Sue Gray's report may just 'summarise findings'.
