Really?
In the UK most official literature is available in most languages
So ignorance isn't an excuse I'm afraid.
Stats are such that ethnic people are more susceptible to hospitalizations and death pro rata the population.
Is that not proof enough that it's sensible to beleive the science and hmg, not your local mouthpiece.

Yes, really. Had you ever worked in a consumer facing role you may know the importance of queue management.

It isn’t just ignorance, it is effectively a ‘sale’ and you need to take people through a step by step process resulting in action. This process has been haphazard throughout the pandemic. And I agree, the volunteer groups have been fabulous. Probably because they include experienced people that are used to making things happen.

I don’t think Brits are less compliant than the Dutch or Belgians, nor do we have more immigrants. So why are we doing worse.

Now would someone like to tell me why Maggie Throup is ideally suited to lead on this initiative and what she has done since Zahawi left the gig.

The first seven letters of her name are very promising....well compared to this lot.

It would be wrong to speculate without the facts however from news pieces I have read the Muslim and black communities do appear to have the most distrust of the vaccination and this is borne out of the detail coming from the London Boroughs which was on the news the other night.

Still no clearer though as to why we have fallen behind. Are there really that many people who simply do not want to be vaccinated or have we been tardy in dishing them out?

This BBC article was posted on the Coronavirus thread. The more at risk have lower vaccination rates.

There were vax slots galore into Croydon and further north when I booked jab 3. Had to be a bit patient to book one well away from Croydon without loads of traffic and little to no parking. There comes a point where risk makes getting vaccinated the wiser choice, and ethnicity with age is obviously a risk factor. It’s not new knowledge.

I've had 3 jabs and so has my Mrs,mum n dad and many more.
Sadly boo hoo I had to queue for 45 minutes for my booster and an hour or so for my other jabs. Not hard unless you have a nail appointment or something more important to do. I cannot think what but hey defend the unvaccinated if you want to!

Lady presenter on LBC said she went in to the boots walk in for her booster jab, they said wheres your doctors recomendation? She said I thought its a walk up and get jabbed system? They said it is, after you get your doctor to recomend you and clear it. She said I could just book a doctors appointment in that case. Bit like me going to the walk in centre in Croydon with a bad knee, the bloke said "its gona be between 4 and 5 wait". Bloomin hell I said, 4 or 5 hours in a walk in surgery, thats not good. He said no, 4 or 5 weeks! Welcome to the NHS people, this is the reality.

Did see an interesting stat today, it said the people of Cornwall, who voted for the brexit deal, now get £1 for every £8333 they got from the E.U, a shocking decline in funding one might concur, and serves them right! On the bright side, at least they have freedom!

I defend nobody. We need to look at reality. I had to bite my tongue so many times when persuading my workforce to get vaccinated. It’s just part of the job if you are capable and driven. Remind me who Maggie Throup is again.

I'll email Maggie Throup, see if she's interested.

Some of us, especially my local County Councillor, were very unhappy about this at the time.

He is an independent who was distraught at the projects being threatened, and that was before the pandemic.
