I wouldn’t say you are in a minority of one. I too have my doubts as to his overall contribution to games, however despite his foibles he is a decent finisher which is something we have been severely lacking. There are other CFs I would have preferred we signed but it is a horrendously expensive position to fill and as we have managed to do it with a loan, it does possibly free up cash for other players.

I agree with this. He certainly has his flaws but he knows where the net is, and it is a massive boost for us fans and the players to get a striker in just before the start of season.
