At his age he doesnt need the money (in my opinion) as he will get much more 3/4/5 years ahead. The problem there was Ferguson left as Wilf arrived. Ogs will be there at least a while. A bit late to try to convince him. United will be in rebuild anyway compared to Ferguson just leaving. I think the fans initially want to see attacks and potential and progress.

Because someone is worth so much doesn't mean they have money its assets plus with the rules even if say new owner had billions in cash he cant just give the club it. the other issue is i keep hearing Parish wont give up his stake that is awful need him gone and if i was someone looking at the club i wouldn't want to do a deal under those terms Parish is milking the club thats why he dont want to give up his chunk (some will jump in now and say hes not yes he is look at all these so called companies he has being paid by palace for services hes using those to get money out of the club yet offering rubbish services) Edited by grumpymort (26 Jun 2019 6.41pm)

I also reckon he’s put more in than he has taken out of the club.

Parish is far from perfect & I would certainly prefer him to do a few things differently but overall he does a good job.

b) he has lots of little companies setup which he then charges Palace fees to use them so he is taking money away the clear one most people have heard of is Smoke and Mirrors. c) I have read all of the account details. the guy is not even putting any of his own money into the club and look at commercial side it's poor yet he is suppose to be a top business man (look at West Ham owners that is proper business men) he makes the same mistakes every year. People need to quit with the whole saved the club rubbish a long time has passed now cant keep using that to defend his mistakes and lack of moving forward. Edited by grumpymort (26 Jun 2019 11.17pm)

I'm not disputing it's a fantastic offer, but if some uber rich owner came on board with lofty ambitions and the funds to back it up, they would surely say don't sell him as we will not only offer him improved terms, we will convince him to stay with our ambitions and signings. My point was more, selling a player for a large sum, just before a takeover, seems unlikely. Would you buy a house that you'd looked at and then whilst negotiating the price for the house they sold the back garden? You'd either stop them doing it or knock a chunk off the purchase price. If the prospective new owners wanted that deal blocked bad enough they would make it a condition of any purchase that he stays however as a vender my answer would be while the business is in my control I will buy/sell who I like. If you dont like it jog on.

Its embarrassing.

If you were to draw a trajectory of the clubs progress on a graph from 1905 to now for league position, crowds, internationals etc you’d find since Parish has been in charge we’ve never been in a better place. I just don’t understand what he’s got to do before some people are happy. He used to come on these boards and communicate with fans which was refreshing. I guess he realised it wasn’t possible to please all despite his best efforts, success and stopped which is a real shame. For me he has to go down as the best chairman the club has had in my lifetime (55) and possibly the best ever. I hope he reads this because I’d like him to know not all fans are on his back and some fans appreciate his efforts and want him to continue the good work.

Much bigger than now but you are mostly correct. I'm just being pedantic.
