i would not Palace to be a world club like the top six who owners don't really get what family clubs are about the exception being leiecester whos overseas owners brought into the club and the city.

The yanks are parasites looking to suck the blood out of clubs without adding or putting anything into them.

English football does not need these kind of people.

Its comments like this that show you up to be a complete moron.
Being realistic has zero to do with being negative.
If I told you Father Christmas did not exist would you accuse me of being negative there too?
Please, dont answer that!

You expect me to respond to that insulting and condescending post?

Since verbally ripping you to shreds will probably contravene site rules, I will let you read my mind as I write this.

I will continue to be optimistic.

Don't bother.

I have no idea why people feel the need to insult.
Some of us try to follow site rules.

I can go at it with the best of them but I really don't care what this guy thinks at the end of the day.

I will continue to dream of greater things for my club.

With Sky money pouring in from us lot, Premier clubs managed well and getting lucky are good to stay in the Premier with or without rich owners.
However, if clubs want new stadiums, new stands etc, then investment is needed at club level. Once a club decides to build new stadia, then it is crucial to keep them in the Premier, so hefty investment in the team and manager is needed.
To achieve all this a club needs to present something different to attract investors.
In my view, at Selhurst we just dont cut it. But a regeneration of Crystal Palace and its Park with a multi billion investment could just be an attraction for the type of investor that would take us to the very top level.
Super ambitious but there to be done. Dont lose sight of the fact we had a far Eastern interest in Crystal Palace Park recently.
Obviously there is a major stumbling block called Bromley Council, but if the investment plan was big enough, they would support it, especially with some very big brown paper bags under the table. Always works.
Either that or stay as we are, keep our feet on the ground hope SP continues to perform and keep us hanging on in the Premier........and forget any new stands.
Just dont go middle ground. Overstreching ourselves for the new stand would be a big mistake.

Aye i accept your point, I did think long and hard over whether Bloye should be at 4 and Nodes at 3 the clincher was selling to Goldberg but Bloye did
milk the club too. So I'm not wedded to the position but like you I see Steve as the most pro Crystal Palace FC since Arthur.

Like choosing between Hitler and Stalin or Mark McGhee and Alan Mullery.

I dont think that any of the top end multi billionaires will buy a club with ground issues like ours.
- this goes for many of the smaller London based (i.e. not Spurs/Arse/Chelsea) clubs, where ground is at a premium.
If SP is able to make/push through the right choices about the ground, then it will be a much more attractive proposition. As it stands now - We've kinda got nearly approved plans for a new stand but what else? Even if we do get Saisburys to cave in, does that give us enough space to have a ground akin to the Emirates/Etihad as that is ultimately what these billionaire investors will aim for. until then, we will have to make do with the normal billionaires akin to what we have now!

All I'll say is that it wasn't me as it seems to be popular opinion that all of the cards are dished out by me which isn't the case
