Yeah, we should just let the media perpetuate this kind of bollocks without objection. One lesson to be learned is, never relax and have fun on a night out or let anyone take a picture when Sky have no Premier League matches to report on. FA cup week is always a desperate scramble to sensationalise nothing stories. When you think that a man can't go out and mess around with his buddies just in case the real Gestapo are watching is truly disturbing. His reputation is affected. Utterly disgraceful. He has done nothing. I bet Max Myer wishes he hadn't posted that picture. The obvious course of action is to ban photography or the posting of it from now on. What a sad bunch the British are becoming. Good point, Hrolf. Did Max consider the GDPR implications before posting? I suspect not! The ICO needs to get on the case.

I find it very sad, indeed pathetic, English society has become so trivial and mean minded. You cannot raise your arm now without the thought police squeezing every last drop of their malice on you. The English sense of humour is admired globally partly because of its creative brilliance (of course it isn’t always) BUT also because the English could wholeheartedly laugh at themselves. Oh how I miss those days!

When’s the beheading and where is the venue? Crouch End? Primrose Hill for maximum vantage? Don’t interrupt any champagne drinking socialists on a romantic liquid lunch on the benches. By some pop up restaurants for refreshment reasons, which could be anywhere in London. Is there anything we can or can’t say in case we get an express beheading without trial by twitter? Are we allowed to say FFS anymore or does it offend the South Coast’s wettest of wets?

I don't think it's that, more likely he is taking the p**s out of his German team mate. I think you’re right. I was just trying to highlight the fundamental and important difference between a genuine nazi salute and a Hitler impression. They are two completely different things. You may criticise someone doing a Hitler impression for insulting the German people, who understandably don’t wish to be associated with that dark period in their history. But it is plainly wrong (and possibly defamatory) to accuse them of having national socialist sympathies. I’m sure the majority of people criticising WH are well aware of the difference but have chosen to ignore it so that they can enjoy being offended on someone else’s behalf.

"I bet Max Myer wishes he hadn't posted that picture. The obvious course of action is to ban photography or the posting of it from now on." One of the few sensible comments in this thread, Club bans players from posting any photo of team events such as the dinner, only way to keep a lid on such nonsense Edited by HKOwen (08 Jan 2019 7.38pm)
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Err he’s Welsh. Err..... thank you for that insightful morsel of information. Perhaps your insight will allow you to realize I was talking about sections of English society and media who are treating this as splendid sport. I probably do not share Rudi Hedman’s politics but he is absolutely right in asking where the public execution is to be held. The whole thing is a disgrace. I can imagine WH is actually pretty relieved he isn’t English at this moment. COYP (a belief we can all share)
