I've been pleasantly surprised by WH's performance all season; he seemed more decisive and a little more athletic than last season. I assumed that VG's presence had made Wayne more assertive in training, and that Guaita must have looked disappointing in training. When VG came on, though, I felt that our entire back line played more decisively and of course VG himself was more assertive and confident. On Saturday Hennessey looked off. Even if Hennessey returns to his early-season form, I think we're a better club with Guaita.

Prior to his injury which necessitated Guaita going in goal, people on HOL were praising Hennessey for his resurgence of form, suggesting that perhaps the competition of the Spaniard might have been a factor.I sensed some disappointment when Hennessey got injured but one game back and the brickbats have resurfaced. Good luck to Speroni against Liverpool. We can only hope that our goal difference doesn't take too much of a battering.

Yesterday’s praise is like chip paper - soon thrown in the bin! It would be great though to see Jules play a blinder on Saturday!

Look at Wilf after his outburst of his treatment.
