He's had one fine full season and the club may sell him, according to reports. Doesn't say a lot for the ambition of the club to retain home grown quality individuals. I don't think that the club selling a home grown player is a lack of ambition. We paid nothing for him and could potentially sell him for upwards of £50m. That could allow us to invest in 3 quality players and keep Wilf. Selling a player for the greater good, is not necessarily a sign of weakness. Whilst he is undoubtedly one of the best players to come through the academy in the last decade, he's also not integral to our status in the league. We also have a player in Joel Ward, who whilst is not of the same ability of AWB, is more than capable of filling the position. My biggest fear for AWB is he could always be the Leighton Baines of the right back position. He has Walker, Trippier and TAA all ahead of him at the moment and TAA is a brilliant player. AWB will no doubt get some England caps but it could be like Baines trying to get past Cole. If he was the outright English RB, I think his value would virtually double. You would imagine if someone wanted TAA from Liverpool they'd be asking for £100m

He is a perfect fit for United but unless we get the right amount then he stays. Edited by The Dolphin (09 Jun 2019 10.37pm)

I would love him to stay, he really is a phenomenon and will be sad to see him spend so little time with us, first team wise but he is a right back and replaceable. If we weren’t in such a mess financially in terms what we can spend then I think there would be a harder push to keep hold of him but with the situation we are in I think it’s inevitable if the right money comes in for him. It would help to reinvest in other areas we are short. Sad but the reality of where we are. Edited by MonsterMunch (09 Jun 2019 10.03am)

Yes the reality is that his position is one that that would be easier to replace, and free up some funds to improve squad.Hope we include sell on and appearance adds on’s ,in any transfer deals as most clubs seem to do now .

Can't help but think of Sansom. We sold him and got in Allen. Then we imploded and went down. Losing Kenny seemed to cause our relegation - that's my memory of it anyway. Probably a bit over simplistic.

I personally wouldn't except nothing less than 40m for him would want more money up front for him as well and at least a 25per cent sell on clause in his man utd contract

If Aaron does leave it will be an outrage if we get anything less than 50mill Walker was 50 and he is overrated garbage who relies on pace
