Yep. A lack of maturity and not for the first time. We can see that looking in but they can’t see it looking out. Some never do.

Exactly. They did it before when one of them was rightly banned.

A match of silence? There’s been a few of those with everyone either laughing or the odd bit of winding up and swearing.

Most are behind what they’re doing, but are more mature about how to get there.

What happens if people that don’t want to stand can’t be given 4 seats together in the same or near row further to the left because there aren’t any?

And what happens if the whole of E standing means either part of F either want to stand or everyone has to stand because they can’t see, and then the same in G etc?

This is unworkable until the new stand goes up or we’re relegated and I bet the hangers onto the HF disappear. Well they’re more likely to after 2-3 seasons.

It's not the first time the club have moved fans without consultation.

When the away fans were moved, those fans that sat where the away fans sat, they weren't consulted. They were told to move.

Again in the white horse stand. They are removing the bottom rows.

All this was done for the progression of the club.

I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that.

I'm actually looking at these messages and there is alot of negativity about the situation with really only half the story out. Also alot of people insinuating that the hf are babies bit are acting like children themselves by saying they will release a statement in capital letters written in crayons. I understand why people wouldn't want to move but i don't remember everyone getting a boner about Parish moving season ticket holders when he switched the away fans about or the main stand season ticket holders that will be moved about or priced out.
I'm generally positive towards hf as they've helped transform the atmosphere at selhurst, and I'm going to see what more info comes out about how the club has dealt with this before I pass real judgement upon them or Parish for tbat matter. Could be he's the one who's f***ed up here.

I think it's quite a good analogy.

A. For the good of the club, Palace want to move some people currently living in Wooderson Close.

B. To satisfy the demands of some little boys, Palace wanted to move some people currently sitting in block E every other week.

Both A and B would be compensated and found alternate accommodation / seats.

Most Palace fans think A is completely correct and justified and most seem to think B isn't. If you live in A or sit in B then you probably don't think that it's a good idea.

Edited for accuracy

All good. Nothing bad.

No, I do not think anyone is joking. We have a great set of fans when it comes to big games, but we owe the noise to the HF the rest of the time.

I remember what it was like before the HF. We were loud in comparison to most clubs, but we were not regarded as having the best home support in the country.

That depends on your view on how much the atmosphere at Selhurst adds to your enjoyment of attending matches.

The idea of moving fans to the center of the stand was with the hope that it would lead to an improvement in the atmosphere and therefore would hopefully benefit the club and us fans too.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

That’s different to a set of 100 fans wanting hundreds and possibly thousands to move or stand when it’s unworkable.

It should never have been ‘promised’, although I don’t think it actually was ‘promised’ reading the BBS thread. It sounds as though the club may have offered the possibility of moving.

Nobody really knows but this once again sounds like a child screaming ‘YOU PROMISED’ in public when the parents may not have. Humans hey!

Those were business or safety reasons, whether just to increase revenue when we earned very little and relatively that’s still the case, including increased police costs and loss of ticket sales to Millwall and Leeds etc, or to stop one Millwall chewing through tarpaulin and thousands rushing a few able and many less able to defend themselves. It wasn’t because 100 singers wanted or expected it.

And we still aren't except by our own fans.

There have been a number of surveys conducted and whilst Palace have always been near the top we don't take the main prize in any of the surveys

Plus, and I hate to micturate onto anyone's french fries, it's a manufactured 'atmosphere'. The rest of the ground only really joins in when there's something to get excited about on the pitch. Probably because they don't know half of the 'songs' anyway. For large parts of games it's just a drum banging and a droning sound, which is a lot louder on TV because of strategically placed microphones.

I much prefer the organic way a chant or song spreads out along the terraces, increasing in volume as it goes on. It isn't necessary to drone for 90 minutes and neither is it acceptable to drown out another song or chant because it wasn't on the HFs 'playlist.
