A few days after a fawning home page story on Michelle Obama, the BBC has produced another puff piece on a Democrat. Is it even a story relevant to a UK audience?

'Former US vice-president Joe Biden has adopted a dog from a shelter in the state of Delaware' [Link]

Why not a positive article on the current VP? Because he's a Republican, that's why.

Yep.....but let's remember the BBC is an unbiased institution that's objective and doesn't take sides.

It just happens to employ a workforce....that just happens to consist of 90 percent lefty neo liberals who look at the Guardian and think it's the shining city on the hill.

Let's remember that this has nothing to do with any bias in employment and it's all totally fair.

Because these are fair and upstanding people who have no agendas to push their own views forward at all......they don't shape the narrative and fairly represent other viewpoints.

And pigs might fly.

I am the first one to criticise the BBC however occasionally they do post a story that is relevant and newsworthy.

Hats off to this little girl for taking part in this allergy trial which hopefully will bring some relief to those that suffer.

Wonder how other history professors feel about the comment: ""You have to work harder, much harder."

"UK academia is very hard in general for anybody," says Dr Otele, "but even harder for people of other backgrounds'.

If they make qualifications much easier to pass they will be pointless.

This is more blame the White man crap.

Delaware? Clearly a tax avoidance strategy. I am sure he can claim for at least one kennel and maybe a duck house.

Do you have a problem with tax avoidance?

some brilliant comedy on the BBC these days.

University Challenge seems to be delving deep into the archives of 'Black History Month' for quiz questions.

And the funny part is the blank faces of the contestants.

Is it your fault you do not know the names of the last 5 ministers for Health of Trinidad & Tobago ?

No mention of the huge downside to our own economy.

I would in an office building that was mainly native British building but is now “diverse” (lots of Indian software developers) and almost none of them spend money locally at lunch time. That one building must have taken hundreds/thousands of pounds per week out of the local economy in food sales only.

But Unesco warns too much of this "hard-earned money" is being taken in transfer charges by finance companies.
It says that people wiring money should only have to pay 3% in charges - but the global average is 7%.
