Absolutely - and I am thrilled to bits. My dear wife was subjected to the anguish I went through week on week and the poor lady was buffeted as my angst spilled out. To think that if we hadn't missed those late penalties against Bournemouth and Man C we would now be in 9th place ! No points and no goals after 7 games a succession of injuries to key players, our top scorer last season only scoring 3 goals - A remarkable job done by Hodgson, backed up by Lewington,Reid and Kiely.Fantastic. Still being a hypocrite I see, nearly every post from you since February, you wrote us off, mongering your negativity saying we weren't any good.

Either you haven't perused my explanation or you have chosen to continue with your goading and baiting. I am NOT going to get into a debate with you on this as I have no intention of dignifying your posts. All further brickbats shall remain unanswered.

Regarding players we probably wont be able to shift, I see Puncheon is the player with the most starts in the league this year all of which have ended in defeat

Him getting injured was a bit of a blessing

Most of our big spending is reactionary - due to not planning properly and taking a gamble. Every season has been a struggle, a change in manager and a big player to please the fans. Let's see. Holloway and the scatter gun approach - emberassingly buying players then saying 'no room at the inn'. Pulis - Ince, Hennersey, Ledley to name three players that didn't really inspire, character aside for Ledley. Pardew - Bentekke, one great season, Remy (who?) Adebayor!! Big Sam - did what needed to be done for that season - pva looks a master stroke. BS - good signing but was he the only option at the time (however in hindsight i am glad). So.. point is, we now need stability and that manager backed so he moulds his squad and we can head ina fluid direction. Yuo get the

I'd like to think we can recruit better but I also yearn to have Kirby or Dreher to break through. Parrot

I have no issue with your comment whatsoever. Yes I was expecting us to be in the Championship and I am delighted that I have been proved wrong. I'm glad Willo, it certainly wasn't posted with any malice. And I'm glad you were proved wrong also. In fact, I insist that around Jan/Feb you post the same again, wherever we are. Let's not tempt fate.. Here's hoping for a great 18/19 season..

It is strange to read on here that our squad is so short on quality. This season more than any other I can remember we have had to rely on squad players. After a terrible start and the largest injury list I can remember and yet it is still possible we will finish in the top ten. Our squad is fine for a club of our size. Let’s keep them together and with a few key additions we can look forward to next season with confidence The Zaha stat - no points from 9 games when he doesn't play would contradict your statement. I think it may be better to say our squad has quality is SOME areas but we are clearly massively reliant on a few players - Wilf and Zaha and maybe Sako are huge. Take them out and we are relegation fodder
