Don't get all this....has Wilf not got 3 years left on his present contract ?? If so, no problem unless mega money that suits the club is offered....especially when he ha said how happy he is here ??

He still has 3 years of existing contract to go. Lets not get too scared just yet. Maybe he is waiting to see if Palace buy players to improve the team and squad.

Actually he has four years left as he signed a five year deal last summer. Contract mean very little though if the player wants to leave, not that we know that he does as yet.

I really can’t see this, this is just your normal transfer window gutter speculation. I don’t think that SP or Hodgson would let both Wilf and Townsend leave, it would be moral suicide. I think Townsend is the more likely to go only if Palace’s valuation of Townsend is met.

Don't blame him if true? He's probably as sick and tired as I am of the annual fight against relegation.
Let's show some ambition and try and f***ing win some silverware for a change rather than this 'Plucky old Palace bollocks' churned out every season.

Wilf won’t sign extension equals he’s had enough, wants out, hates everyone, even himself for putting up with it all the time and can’t wait for a few grand more to sit comfortably on a bench somewhere. Yes that’s it.

The problem was that as he didn't go to the world cup he thought he'd spend a day reading through HOL.

Now he knows that SP is useless, Roy wants to leave, we have no money for transfers, no ambition and all our players want to leave.

He's on the phone to the Samaritans as I type this....

Sun or not it has the ring of truth about it to me for many reasons.

If the figures quoted are true Wilf has been offered a pay rise equivalent to the wages of a new player but he wants a huge pay rise equivalent to two new players.

Can’t see there being any truth in this but if I was him or for that matter any player in the squad I’d be wondering why with 5 weeks until the season starts, yet again we are standing still regarding bringing new players in. Every other club is strengthening for the season while we sit back and do nothing just like we do every year. Maybe he is sick of it just like all of us are.

Not sure every team is improving while we stand still. 6 teams are yet to sign anyone so far, and US and Bournemouth have signed one each. Those that have brought have not signed many big name/money transfers. If you want to listen to paper talk then according to Martin Samual chelski are set to loan out RLC again with us as the favourite or likely destination. Just because we don’t hear doesn’t mean we’re not looking.
