He's not gonna storm the PL, but he'll develop nicely over the years. He has not only played well in Denmark, but also in Norway at just 19. Norway has a really good generation of offensive players: They should qualify for a tournament really soon at the squad they have I had to laugh when you mentioned Mushaga Bakenga there, the lad is 25 years old and has played one game for the national team. Since he left Rosenborg in 2012 he has been in 7 different clubs. Helland could be amazing if he managed to stay fit, i would compare him to Daniel Sturridge, deadly when fit but spends too much time injured. I have much more hope in the younger generation that is playing for the U21 National team atm. Martin Ødegaard who is loaned from Real Madrid to Heerenveen. Dennis Johnsen in Ajax. Kristoffer Ajer who plays regularly for Celtic. Morten Thorsby who is also at Heerenveen. Don't have much hope for many of the players you mentioned as they are part of the generation that has let us down time and time again. Edit: Just wanted to add our Premier League U18 players as well. Colin Rösler, son of former Man City player Uwe Rösler plays for Man City U18. And Edvard Tagseth plays for Liverpool U18. Rösler born in 2000 and Tagseth born in 2001. Edited by Norwegian (02 Feb 2018 10.14pm)

My point is he was great for all of them (including Rosenborg: 7 goals and an assist in 9 matches for Rosenborg in the 2016 campaign, underused in Eintracht Braunschweig) Originally posted by Norwegian

Maybe you should look for the reasons why the national team hasn't qualified in more detail. How much have Ola Kamara. Mushaga Bakenga or Helland played for he national team? In the losses against Northern Ireland, Azerbaidjan and the Czech Republic there were players like Elyounoussi from Qarabag, Diomande, Jo Inge Berget, players who are not as good as Bakenga, Ola Kamara or Helland. Just my opinion. So, there are a multitude of reasons why some matches were lost.

I don't think Ola Kamara is good enough, he is doing well in MLS. But he has failed in every European club he's played in outside of Norway. Still gutted about Skjelbred and Tettey retiring from the national team when Per Mathias Høgmo was sacked. They're only 30 and 31 years old and are still good enough to make a difference. He has played a total of 111 games since he left Rosenborg in 2012, averaging 18,5 matches per year. He has scored 29 goals in those years with an average of 0,26 goals per match. As a striker those stats are not great. He is a fun guy with a great personality but not a great player.

Enlighten us, then. He may well turn out to be great but he isn't great yet. However I think: - he's had barren spells and come through them; Plus which he joined the club on the night of a full moon, a supermoon, a blue moon and an eclipse (although maybe the eclipse only workse in South America, where it was actually visible).
