Ahh well, we showed a lot of spunk there, for want of a better word. At least we didn't completely crumble, they were just far better than us. Brilliant goal from Wilf and Andros, could do with a few more of them.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Wilf eased off the ball in front of goal by Bellerin for that "header" or was it a pen ?

What has really happened to Benteke? No movement, just pointing here and there with his conducting arms. Give Sako credit, at least he gives it a go...

Roy did a good job at half time. Spotted the problem and fixed it. 2-2 in the second half. Just saying.

Well we scored two and only lost by one so GD not badly damaged and we still 16th. Could have been better, but could have been a lot worse too. We did pretty well against a better (certainly attacking) side.

ManC next! - looking forward to Saints for next point/s.

Definitely missed Sakho there. For long spells we put ourselves under pressure because of poor composure on clearing the ball, which cost us what turned out to be the winner. Players winning the ball about 20 yards out and booting it anywhere instead of looking for the way to get the ball to our forwards, when they had time to do so.

The other problem is that when you have to defend a lot when you do get to put a ball into the box it needs to be of decent quality and a lot of ours were poor. Schlupp in particular.

Don’t want to criticise anyone....as the team put in a shift.

However, Arsenal did their homework and completely shut out Benteke.

We were brilliant in periods, but just didn’t get the decisions or just that little bit of luck.

We have a top header of the ball and never put it near his head once. Meanwhile, we let Arsenal have far too much time on the ball.
Another loss coming up at the weekend and then it will be a cup final every week until May.
