Wickham is not injured. Whilst that is what is quoted by Roy, seems strange to say it. He featured against the Spuds in the Cup and we all know he has had a major injury. My take is that he has either suffered a set back or is the number 4 striker so won't feature unless somebody else gets an injury.

This may be time up for Wickham at the Palace. He was ok v Spurs but must be behind the other 3 now.

He needs to be playing regular football to get some match fitness back. We should have sent him on loan and in retrospect probably would have if we hadn’t left our business for a new forward until the last second of the window.

To be fair Parish had done what we've always wanted him to do and that was to try and bring in a forward right at the start of January but unfortunately it didn't work out as Solanke was injured. The forward that we did eventually sign (as you say, at the last minute) seemed to be in demand by other teams higher up the food chain than us so perhaps we were lucky to get him at all

CW is sadly broken but when he plays I would rather have him putting himself about than the shrinking violet Benteke has become.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

For all of us lucky enough to have been at the game yesterday it was obvious that Batshuai brings a fresh vibrance to Selhurst that renders both Benteke and Wickham as second rate squad players. Still valuable as cover but a long way behind the new force we were quick agile nimble and so skilful. Tthe best I have ever seen

Yes the "Bat" has come in buzzing but lets see in 5 matches time. Both Benteke and Wickham have come from big injuries and need now that "match time".. they dont play in reserve games you notice (or very rare 30 mins slots).. Benteke is very fit but needs passes suited to his game, had that "over head kick" gone in against Fulham, you would have been "raving".. fine lines. Plus a big man m(our forward) in center defense at corners has made a big difference recently, remember were Ayew was against Spurs!!!!!!! Originally posted by dreamwaverider
