A few weeks back I believe it was Hedgehog posted about Police corruption. I thought that unlike him so I read the link. Sure enough the Police concerned all had Muslim sounding names. Sadly I feel there is a relentless agenda here against targeted minority groups. I'm against all cases of police corruption, whoever the perpetrators are.

Aww bless, you have a best online friend who shares the same views as you and you apparently teach our youth. Not that there's much evidence of you having a teaching job, you spend all day posting on here. *Edit* Just seen you're not a teacher, you're 48 years old & unemployed. Well done you. Edited by Southampton_Eagle (12 Oct 2017 8.44am) You aren't keeping up are you Southampton? I may not agree with Stirling on much but I don't think it calls for personal abuse. Especially when we have already been told the facts are wrong.

Thanks Maple. Yep, I'm still involved and working but I'm lucky enough to get more time now than I did. If someone is unemployed it isn't some kind of crime. He's accurate about my age though.....48...wow....when did that happen....you do what you do and the years fly. The sooner they hurry up with this anti aging juice the better.

Like we all are obviously. But that doesn't explain why you decide only to highlight such cases when the exposed criminals aren't white and British. I can't keep abreast of all that goes on these days, but I'm sure you will fill us in on cases we have missed - well some of them anyway. Edited by hedgehog50 (12 Oct 2017 10.52am)

I've changed on the knockabout thing now. I tend to avoid certain posters now. I'm sure plenty of posters are like that. Some with me as well. I'm no saint on these boards. If I think of a witty putdown I'm guilty of using it...guilty as charged. But I try to keep it restricted to the kind of person who uses putdowns themselves. You get two kinds of people in the knockabout thing....One who gets a bit heated but remains rational next time you trade posts and those who don't and carry on vendettas if they feel slighted. There's nothing wrong with getting it back at you. Anyone who trades barbs should be able to take it...but they also have a right to object once a line is crossed after they mention it.....For example, for me being called swear words or being labelled a racist, fascist, Nazi and Nazi sympathiser and more recently an anti semite just got and gets on my wick. So I try to be a bit more selective with who I engage with now. Some people you can have a laugh with and some you can't. Some people you can discuss serious ideas and reflections with and some you can't.
