Apart from Delaney and Kelly, we now have no other centre backs, fit or otherwise.

I thought we had three in the "otherwise" category?

I meant.... fit or even available. Lose one of those two and we're somewhat buttf*cked.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

On Sakho's injury, as Big Sam said, let's wait for tomorrow's scan before we get all gloom and doom. On the goal, Erikson found space, one of the rare times that happened tonight. Totally disagree that Hennessey blew it, the shot had no spin on it for him to read. For once, let's give credit to an skillful opponent rather than blame our own.

Sure, I'd take 0-0 too. Also gutted by the Sakho injury but we should be able to secure a point in this situation. Admittedly the ref was garbage, you could argue Dembele and Wanyama should have seen red in the 1st half. Just though the performance (particularly in the 2nd. half) had many similarities with our poor form in the early part of this season. Those long balls were such a waste tonight, better to keep it on the ground and play the percentages. We had 1 shot on target for the whole match, and we're playing at home !

Yeah but we fell apart because of an unexpected occurence on the pitch that knocked everyone off kilter, previously we just played like that from the start and got worse til the finish, almost as if someone trained us to play like that And you forget, we can win games without any shots on target apparently.

Edit: At least the Brewers won today

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

We did that on Sunday when Coutinho scored. Surely we don't have to do it again until next season, do we?

Many thanks to Bangell for saying he'll post links and PZ Eagle for the info about the Sky pass thing. I'll try both - much appreciated!

What worries me is what happens if we pick up any injuries in central defence. We've lost Dann, Tomkins and Sakho in rapid succession so if anything happens to either Delaney or Kelly (already a far from top choice pairing), we're going to look f*cked.

You're right but I'd think that the injuries in central defence you refer to have already occurred!

Thanks for that. Cucking, back to school for you.

What's happened to Kelly or Delaney since the game finished then? Oh nothing. That's his point. We can't afford any more injuries. Or is Cucking actually stupid?

Sometimes.

Thanks, Rudi, for a better response than I would have made.

Tweeted first about Palace, then congratulated his former team. Spent 16 years there, and is close with the players.

When he came off he acknowledged the Holmesdale and then embraced Kane and Eriksen. Ran his socks off for the red and blue.

Watched the goal on the replay: No one between Hennessey and the strike - for YARDS. WH was centred in goal and looked close to the post it went into. He had a solid view. It wasn't the fastest shot either. It did bounce though about 2 metres in front of him. A slightly awkward but regulation save, really IMHO. WH really does drop his bundle too easily for me. He must mentally doze off I think. I think he struggles to stay fully alert. Not ALL his fault though, but he knew Sahko was off injured and should have raised his game. I think Sahko would of spoilt this shot or not allowed it had he been on. We should have got a point from this one.

Poor ref for both sides but that was a red card every day of the week.
Sakho injury costly last night and will cause us problems moving forward.
WH should have saved that shot really but why did we give Errikson so much room - that was the real issue.
Once Sakho went off we sat back too much and I - like others - think that Jimmy Mac should have stayed on the field.
Taking everything into account we were beaten by the best or second best team in the league who are the absolute form side who had an extra days rest on us and who could bring Son and Sissoko off the bench.
We did very well but they were better than us - simple!
